i have a doubt guys.... i have rooted my mobile(G3).... now the froyo updates are available... now if i upgrade my handset will it be upgraded fully i mean 100% or will i face any problem during my upgrade.... if i face a prob den should i again reroot my mobile and then upgrade it to 2.2? suggest me your opinion on it....

TekkenLaw, 09 Dec 2010I read on a site that Android engineers have said that any phone capable of running Froyo can ... morethat cant be possible with all android devices..... may be a device which is having 1GHz processor has the capability to upgrade from 2.2(froyo) to gingerbread... but not our handset(galaxy3) since it has hardware limitations of just 660MHz.... hence our handset can upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2 but not gingerbread......

I read on a site that Android engineers have said that any phone capable of running Froyo can be upgraded to Gingerbread which has further performance improvements. This means G3 should be a candidate for upgrade to Gingerbread in future..don't know if Samsung will do it though..

guys please help me...iam planning to root my phone ...i watched the sagar's youtube video tutorial on how to root...

Install battery booster fro... morethnx shri for ur suggestion n its realy working. . . but i hv install advanced power manag. n its really doing d req work. its my 2nd with 20% bat. yet consumed. still 80% to go hope so more 3day it will last

there are 3 leaked froyo firmwares already available on samfirmware site....
i myself have tried all ..
currently on xxjpa....... froyo 2.2
its great.........

drawbacks: no video call, no camera flash.

Hi every one athose who r using GT-I5801 first update your kies after that connect your mobile to pc you will get a message like there is a firmware upgrade nothong but it is android 2.2(fryo). OR u can directly go to setting and select firmware update
But it is unable install.
I have send a mail to samsung about the error they said that they are working on it and it will be released next week i think so
