sarath, 20 Nov 2010Same Problem for me. I bought the phone used music file transfers for 0.30 hours, gps for 0.30... morethe solution is simple
1. charge the battery when it reaches 50% after heavy use. or charge the battery for 10 -30 min before going out. also charge the battery after a day of use even if used lightly
2. peform reboot of phone with charger connected if u have access to one.
3. don't install software which u don't need and avoid softwares which installs services see my previous post. but if u need Yahoo use it and disable services later
4. disabled services after use of program using > APPLICATIONS>RUNNING SERVICES
tap to close programs services which are running for eg. winamp
just tap the name and click ok . don't disable stuff u don't know.
5. disable gps bluetooth wifi when not using it
Li-ion batteries are resilent. u only need to completely discharge it only once a month ( 2 weeks interval is good for calibrating laptop batteries)
I have a Hp laptop so I have good experience with batteries for such kind.

jay, 21 Nov 2010danny, ...even i thought dat the battery was poor...but man,leter i realised that my wifi, b... moremy battery last for 2 days. 1 day if I use it a bit more than usual. just yesterday I charged it 3 times since I was playing games online all day. I don't have much problem with my battery but I do have problem with the battery calibration which fails to show the correct battery level. from 50% to zero in 30 min that can cause serious problems. the lesson i learnt from lots of experimenting is never installed programs that installed services. kicked winamp, avg antivirus, monitoring softwares, Yahoo messenger & mail from my phone for that reason. wish I could do something about gtalk. android isn't free google is earning lots . my next phone will be win 7 one.

...even i thought dat the battery was poor...but man,leter i realised that my wifi, bluetooth, gps...evrything was on..! go to homepage, open the notifications shortcut...swith off all those apps...dats it..! ur battery should last for one full day atleast...dats enuf...if noo...w8 for sum days to get ur battery stabilized or visit the samsung service centre..

Battery was showing after full charge still 50% but suddeny warning came and battery exhausted immediately. How to rectify the problem. I am new to android, and i don't know how to close the applications running in the background. I purchased this mainly for music which is mindblowing. please help me to solve this problem

muniss, 10 Nov 2010Never use Power AMP. It is not best when compared to default music player. Moreover Power AM... moreDefinitely i agree with you. I downloaded poweramp and found volume is high but clarity is like transistor even after adjusting all the equaliser presets.

Just bought the cell and yet to take net connection. I have android games (.apk files) downloaded. When i am trying to install by running adb install command, it says no device connected. (but i have connected my device with USB provided). Guys, plz help.....

but with any youtube app you can play youtube vids fullscreen....... flawlessly, no flash required for that...
