so low end android phones will stick to only 2.1/2.2... but it indeed is disappointing...
and can you provide anew link to i6801???

Android gingerbird os features revamped ui/ new unique stylish user interface, improved copy paste functionalities, new 3D Games support, support for larger screen 1366x768 wide wxga resolution, support for video calls not possible in android froyo. Dnt u like to use android gingerbird in samsung i5801 yes its possible bt samsung wont upgrade coz tey want make money. Make people buy another i6801 for several thousand rupees more. In short samsung stop manufacturing i5801.

Guys i5801 only upgradeable to froyo nt later android os. That means we have to buy another i6801 next year for Rs.15,000 to run android gingerbird n honeycomb. Its good for Mr. Richie Rich bt wat abt d rest of us. I saved my 4months salary to buy i5801.

Arjun, 08 Oct 2010Hey. . . Which method to use for rooting. . ? Automated or manual ? And . .do we loose our war... morerooting will let you upgrade to froyo 2.2 but it will surely void your warranty cuz its against samsung terms and conditions. so try rooting your device after your warranty expires or wait for official upgradation for froyo...
but i dont think even after rooting you would be able to upgrade to froyo cuz there is no support available for indian version...
