Kai's flashlight cost US$3.00 and you can get it from http://www.pocketkai.net/asp/en/index-en.html
Follow the link "Tools" then "Flashlight" on the left side of the page.
Hi guys.......plz tell me is i600 speakers sound luder than i300 or Nokia 5700...plz tell me.....???tnx
hey guys can anyone tell me how to upgrade the OS to WM5 to WM6?
and please tell me where can i download software that can edit word and excel files
Juz got the i600. Very disappointed.
No chinese language.
No chinese text SMS input.
No voice recorder for tele-conversation.
No FM radio.
Battery cover damn difficult 2 open.
this "Multi FlashLight" application works like charm with me:
and it's totally free.
one more thing.. when i bought this phone, i got a full version of 'Documents To Go' within the package. I can totally edit Word and Excel documents.
Appreciate any wise inputs on this.. I am currently having a basic cell and a PDA and have plans to intergrate this to 1 hardware. I use the "notes" fuction and calendaring extensively on my pda. I have heard reviews that we are not able to edit Word document on the cell? Are we able to edit with Windows Mobile 6.0 installed? Can we create Word document and edit them on the Samsung i600?
Thanks and really appreciate any advice.
Hi Green user,
Where did u get the software 'Kai's Flash Lite'?
Is it freeware or how much does it cost?
And, do u know is there any memory limit on the voice recording function?
I intend 2 get the i600 soon.
I have figured out a lot about this phone. Comments in this forums and http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsMobile are unquantifiable help. Find below my amateur assessment of the phone;
[The VERY GOOD]
LOOK: Stylish, attractive yet simple.
FEEL: Lightweight, sleek, velvet-like.
LAYOUT: good button spread, decentralized navigation.
FUNCTIONS: Robust phonebook, high speed wifi, good organizer, Nice Camera.
BATTERY: Much above average.
OTHERS: call clarity, concealed connecting ports, GOOD security level, fast synchronization. good video quality and audio quality via earphone, child-lock battery cover (I guess that is what it is).
[The not good]
Ringer volume is moderate. Vibrate and ring helps.
Using Activesync 4.5 for the phone is problematic. It may be activesync 4.5 issue.
Uninstall and install the activesync4.5 every time you want to use it works. Also ensure firewall isn’t running.
The screen could have been bigger. Why write SAMSUNG in an area that could have been used for screen.
Slow boot, it makes me panic. Be patient it will come on.
Accessing task manager every time to stop running programs is not fun. A simple prompt like I see in office “Do you want to save or minimize” would have been best.
Samsung was not generous enough to put an external memory card.
Internet sharing is impossible with wifi. Samsung assumed all computers have wifi.
The VoiceAssist has never one day gotten my request correctly.
Unique USB port makes it hard to share accessory.
No flashlight. A software Kai's Flash Light solve that.
Feature packed. To be unique and still stay in touch with official and unofficial activities, get this.
shouldn't it be activated automatically when you make video calls??
I never tried that.. i'm just guessing..
but i think you can't enable it as a photo camera. Also, not sure of that.. if anyone knows anything, please let both of us know ;-)
Do you mean the power button?
It's located on top side. you can only see it when you look from up.
this is a simple sketch..

Sori green user,I dont have this model phone. Hope someone can help u.
Love this phone so far. A little sluggish once in a while, but I do things very fast on computers so most people should be fine. Wifi works great. It can be set to turn off when not in use for a while (you determine how long) and come right back on when you continue browsing. Just got this for now until i780 comes out. I need the WM6 Pro. Don't know what others are talking about but screen is plenty big for normal use. Get a personal video player or laptop if you want to watch movies. This is for work. Side wheels makes many things easier. Buttons are laid out well. For numbers you don't have to push the number exactly, you just have to push any button within the white square which includes two buttons. For example, #1 and R are two separate buttons within the square, but either one (or both) can be pressed for #1 to show up on the screen. So it's fat finger friendly. Overall great phone to help get work done.
