Hi, I just got the i600 and also in the same boat, where can I download WM6 for this phone. Appreciate some help! Thanks
Help please. Based in South Africa, what is the best way to download WM6 for my NEW 600i, please help am excited to get going.
Thanks a stack
Just bought the i600 yesterday, with WM6 installed. Very pleasant experience so far. Qwerty keyboard was easier to press than expected. User friendly and very good responsiveness from the interface and WM6. Wi-fi speed is decent. Would recommend this phone.
I have been using this phone since nearly a month now.It is a very good model & would recommend it strongly. If you have thick fingers though you might have problems with the key pad.But absolutely no problem for me.
i'm a businessman that uses the email alot. 24hrs actually. MS OUTLOOK. i'm thinking wether i shud by a i600 or a nokia e61i. knowing i600 is windows compatible i guess it should suit me better?? will i be able to us MS OUTLOOK w/ the nokia(os is symbian)? can anybody tell me pls.
someone please tell me if the i600 can hold a YAHOO MESSENGER? and is the wifi connectivity good?
please message me for the pro's and con's of i600, I'm planning to buy it on the weekend or so..
thanks so much!
I fell for it the first time i saw it! hehe!
The phone comes with "Doc To Go" which is a very good application for viewing/editing word documents and excel sheets.
i plan to buy this phone to replace my HP ipaq 512 smart phone.
the ipaq screen is too small for me and i lost many time during input text. i need a qwerty keyboard.
but i wish to ask, does this phone able to edit the excel worksheet as the ipaq able to do this. this is important for me.
thanks for advice
I'm also upgraded my samsung to wm6, it works fine. Windows are faster,it takes 8mb more memory, but it dont makes any differece:)
I did everything by this manual:
update to WM6 is on samsung website, first u need to buy the device, than by giving the device type and number, you can download it.works fine, very easy. It seems ( not sure about) that latest devices are pre-loaded with WM6 already
Hi, I'm debating on weather to buy the i600 or the htc S630. I'm just curious weather the upgrade to Windows mobile 6 is available in English, if so how can I upgrade it? Does anyone know? Thanks!
indeed, this phone updated to WM6, with Fring and documents to go installed on it and you will never change mobile anymore. the best smartphone on the market, for sure
Anyone having a 4 hour clock difference from the phone clock and the sms text messenger? They are both not the same. When I receive a text message, it's 4 hours behind....
Fring makes the phone good, a must have i love it now and i love my i600
is this phone a quad band and how many different versions of the blackjack are there? I've seen i600 and i321N
slick, you have windows live messanger on WM6, that´s the same as pocket msn. Anyhow installing FRing is a good idea as making skype calls is not working if you install skype, with Fring it works fine. enjoy the phone
Not sure if anyone made the discovery after buying their new Samsung i600 and realizing that Pocket MSN isn't there. I found this great solution if you already haven't. If you get a chance, check out Fring, great software that allows you to run Skype, MSN, GTalk and others in one simple app. Works great!!
Make sure the accounts you register aren't logged on from your computer, or it won't subscribe it thru Fring. It's also best to make a Test call, which can easily be done since there is a default test user in the app.
Just received this phone and let me tell you, it's amazing. Paid 350$ Canadian... got the latest version with the firmware update, so I didn't have to do it myself. Been 5 days and has yet to crash on me.
There have been dust issue creeping under the lcd, but with the latest version, this problem doesn't seem to be there any longer. No Java pre-installed, but you can install it with 3rd party, and it works wonders. Haven't had a chance to install Skype yet, but will soon.
Bar none, great phone, sleek design, nice rubber enclosure, super thin, and Qwerty keyboard works great. The only flaw I see is that you can't use Bluetooth and Wifi at the same time, because it just doesn't want to work.
