Hi Lawrence, I'm so glad you're back with us as o2 users. We missed you as our o2 guru. The information that you've been provided was very helpful and encouraging for me, and perhaps other users too. Hope this is not your last post the one below. My o2 still stock wm 6.5 and hopefully, it'll get upgraded to custom rom soon. Thanks.
Mobilemaster, 19 Feb 2011Which is better, the Omnia II or the Samsung Omnia HD? I just want to hear an answer here, it'... moreYou can't compare them.Although both have similar specs, omnia hd is symbian based, while omnia 2 is winmo based.Out of the box, omnia hd i could say is better, but symbian has it's limitations. Winmo,on the other hand, allows customization and you can do pretty much what you want with it.Not to mention the apps available for them. If you want just a phone, buy the hd, if you want true smartphone and you like looking around, gofo o2. it's a win-win situation.
I have this phone for about 4 months and the only thing that pisses me of is that GPS can't function without GSM signal (ie. no sim card/no gsm communication/disabled). I tried different settings in the hidden application, Nogarder GPS, but no effect. Even if I set Standalone Operation (not using A-GPS) the GPS is not working. This is frustrating, Samsung!!! Please, fix the firmware!!!
Otherwise, is the best Windows Mobile phone I have ever had (and I had many), one of the latest greatest WM6.5 monsters, until that stupidity called Windows Phone surfaced out.
Which is better, the Omnia II or the Samsung Omnia HD? I just want to hear an answer here, it's NOT about that I don't know which one is better.
Best phone ever!!! Been using it for more than a year now and it's awesome!
It has all the functionalities of a smartphone and a computer all rolled into one!! PLUS IT's WINDOWS MOBILE!!!
Hi, does anyone knows if I can update my Omnia II to the lastest Window 7..?
I bought my omnia ii last year May in Dubai. It has been functioning well till recently when it started misbehaving. I cannot make a call or listen to music through the ear piece or the loudspeaker unless i insert the hands-free. Can anybody please tell me what is wrong with my phone?

how about if my unit is a korean phone, is it possible if i can upgrade it to windows and convert it to english?please answer thanks
Hi, I like my Omnia 2 it's just that the windows logo is white. could anyone tell me if I could have that colored again? and there is no secondary camera for pictures right, just video calls?
HSPA,HSDPA,HSUPA are the same 3G(3rd Generation technology) for data transmission.
Mobydik, 22 Jan 2011Is it ok to a phone that is compatible in HSPA to use in a HSDPA area? Will there be a problem ... moreHigh Speed Packet Access (HSPA) is an amalgamation of two mobile telephony protocols, High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) and High Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA), that extends and improves the performance of existing WCDMA protocols. So the terms you used are the same, there should be no problem.
