I know all of things you mentioned.
I dont use wifi and games, etc.
I just use phone calls and SMS.
If I use about 20-30 min phone call,
and 10-15 min SMS (send and review) in period of
1-2 days, the battery completly exhausted.
Do you have this model?
If so, what is your experience?
Ahmoneem, 15 Sep 2010Dear Omnia II Users, I need a sincere advice about the reliability of "I8000 Omnia II&q... moredon't go for this phone...am using it with poor audio functions,no loud sound, you have to place laways on top number volume.htc hdii is a gr8 phone with android or go for xperia its good
I use it and all is well but FM radio,no sound output when headphones attached,it sucks...and even MP3 audio..literally whatever you do it with headphones on is really a big disappointment.Windows Opera is a flop.So I suggest readers to go for android instead of windows and think windows is not user friendly with mobiles.Better go for LG brand over Samsung its FM and other audios really blasts.

Ahmoneem, 16 Sep 2010Thanks a lot, Skyjack,
What about GPS and navigation ?You are most welcome Ahmoneem!
Google map works well. It locates the spot you are at with surrounding area. You can then zoom in or zoom out to identify street names. As for GPS Navigation, I haven’t got my head around it. The manual is very poorly written, still struggling to understand how it works. Maybe someone who has tried can help!
Samsung 4 life, im from the UK but by changing the settings will it change everything to the desired language? i just want texts to show the language not the whole phone.

How to stop phone charges while on WIFI connection?
The credit seems to be depleting even when browsing the net on WIFI. I`ve read the manual but still have not found a way to stop loosing credit. As a result, I now take the sim card out whenever I`m on WIFI. This is quite cumbersome. Is there any other way?
Ahmoneem, 15 Sep 2010Dear Omnia II Users,
I need a sincere advice about the reliability of "I8000 Omnia II&q... moreI`ve been using the Omnia 2 for 3 months. My friend has the HD 2. I`ve compared both the phones and my vote goes for the HD 2. Yes it is a bit more expensive, but you get a better experience browsing the net.
The Omnia 2 has served me well most of the time. As a phone it is great and has some nice built in apps. There are many more apps you can download for free or purchase.
As an internet browsing device I would give it 7 out of 10. It`s light weight makes it convenient to carry around in a pocket. With good signal strength, performance is satisfactory. I`ve enjoyed many hours with the Wifi connection. However, page selection is a weak spot on the touch screen. I would say 50% of the time I`ve not been able to make a selection within a page. Generally connectivity is poor when the Wifi signal is weak. This is the most disappointing part of this smartphone, as cheaper sets have performed better with the same signal strength.
The HTC HD2 certainly out performs the Omnia 2 on connectivity with Wifi. Well, you pay more if you want more!
Dear Omnia II Users,
I need a sincere advice about the reliability of "I8000 Omnia II" from somebody who used the mobile for a long enough period .( H/W & S/W )
I'm planning to buy one very soon, my alternative choice is "htc HD II" but it is more expensive.
I like the spec's of "Omnia II ", but no hands on experience.
Please advise !
Thanks to all in advance
