thank you for the link. I know it already. That's why i never leave bank password, account, credit card number, etc on my android. i left that on my black berry.
Risk is a must for android rooted user to take-on though. Changing password, log-out FB, and etc. Still, i love root though and change software + firmware.
Thinking about upgrading to this from the Nexus S, looks like they are pretty similar phones, is it worth it in anybodies opinion?
I just don't fancy upgrading to something so large in size the standard sIII

I have flashed more phones than I've had hot dinners but always with non-rooted Firmware, and it has never presented any problems, but you are missing the point. Rooting your phone is like refitting your house out with new furnishings and fittings and then going out and leaving the doors open.
Just Google 'dangers of rooting your phone' to find out the dangers. Here is one example from a xda forums moderator of all people.
edit: check for forums about what you've done. some custom rom or root for certain device have a bug one or two even more.
sry to hear that. I see you have such a hard time. Well that's root. No one knows what will happened. still got probability ended up in slowing all, etc, even failure. You did what the guide say didnt you? have you miss anything bcoz first time rooting sometimes people want to be quick and a bit lazy to read some very critical instructions and ended up bad. or just maybe your device maybe unlucky.
why? because since i've owned galaxy ace in 2011, i've just play with odin to upgrade firmware and root. no such custom roms installed. then it got stolen but so far no issues.
then in 2012 i've got galaxy w. with this, i could easily swtich rom back and forth from stok to custom (cm9,cm10, aokp, biohazard, etc) and none of your problem exists.
and i even root and insert custom rom on 2 galaxy note 1 on my friends. even they didnt got such issue.. what they feel is how crazy custom rom can improve..
and finally come to s3 mini, just flashed a rooted firmware and no problem at all. don't be afraid to root. maybe u just unlucky at that time. that's all :D
now this is gonna be BIG disappointment if this list gets final...http://www.gsmarena.com/galaxy_s_iii_and_note_ii_to_get_android_50_others_get_stuck_at_422-news-5720.php
no next gen of Android 5.0 for the S3mini and i thought samsung has promised at least 1 next gen of android upgrade for their smartphones :p
this is gonna make mad alot of samsung owners, the S3mini is only 4 months old device which comes with android 4.1 out of the box and if samsung cuts the support that will be a very LOW hit...
The S2 allrdy got 3 upgrades in last 2 years and this is not gonna be fair for the S3mini least to say
XPERIA L is launch ,samsung lose mid range market, launch s3 mini in INDIA
AnonD-108010, 18 Mar 2013 have it removeable battery ?ofcourse it has removable battery..
Hi guys. Where can i download the latest Jelly Bean update for my Samsung GT-i8910? What are the advantages of this update?
AnonD-108010, 17 Mar 2013New lumia 620 or sg s3 mini which one better for me ??Of course the Galaxy S III Mini is better. It has 1 GB RAM, while Lumia 620 only 512 MB. For gaming, better go for Galaxy S III Mini. Windows Phone 8 for business look.
AnonD-123519, 16 Mar 2013i was honest , battery depends on ur usage , like my heavy use can be a light use for u! , my ... moreAnd dont get me wrong, whenever people come to Xperia p comment section and ask which one I'd better, I always give fair advice. Some people ask which is better I always say s3mini is the best option if they don't want Xperia. To my curiosity I went to peep on s3minI comments and I'm surprised that you are giving biased comparison. That's not fair dude, you should make people decide without politicizing.
AnonD-123519, 16 Mar 2013i was honest , battery depends on ur usage , like my heavy use can be a light use for u! , my ... moreI have Xperia p, music can last 12 hours on fm or mp3. 3g on is 8 hours, depends if you keep browsing it will go for 4-5 hours only. Games could also go for 5 hours. Both of their batteries will not last the whole day for heavy use . Xperia p on stand by only consumes 5% for 12hours, standby on 3g(meaning it can receive email while screen is off) will consume less than 20% for 10hr. camera is better on Xperia p. I know it coz I tried them both. 8mp camera on Xperia p has bug, but if you use the 6mp scale it would go better than s3mini. Xperia p is also cheaper than 3mini. Xperia p dont have sd slot, but you already know the fact that jelly bean and ics don't support sd transfer on all apps. Overall xp wins. Xperia p also has whitemagic tech, viewing angles and sunlight legibility are superb much superior than s3 original.Xp has Premium aluminum built and dragontail with pre installed screen protector plus nfc.
Anas, 17 Mar 2013Two important things:
1) The sim card is not micro sim or mini sim, it is the usual sim card
... more@ Anas
1) No, you are wrong. Sim card sizes are:
Full 85.60mm x 53.98mm
Mini 25.00mm x 15.00mm
Micro 15.00mm x 12.00 mm
Nano 12.3mm x 8.8mm
Therefore the Galaxy S3 Mini takes a Mini sim. This is the 3rd time I have had to explain this simply because people here are too lazy to read the posts.
2) The Galaxy Mini s3 Mini DOES support NFC but it is country specific. A NFC version of the phone was released at the end of January 2013.
