Wil97, 18 Oct 2012It's not worth it. but if you compare between the two, the S3 mini definitely winIf only both of them selling at same price point, go for S3 mini. IMO, I don't really sure why people go for this phone. We always have choice when choosing Android phone. I bought Xperia Sola and i will choose sola over s3 mini if s3 mini cost 10$ more.

-4" SuperAMOLED Plus at 480x800px
-1.2ghz dual core S4/1.2ghz Exynos quad
-8mp cam (1080p video)
just put those thing on the current S3 mini chassis, and I'll say it's worth 400 EUR.

Upon first impressions, this device is very underwhelming. With this device, Samsung is trying to compete with Apple in one very specific area. Screen size. And not awesome large screens. The exact same screen size. That said, I feel that this is more likely to fail than succeed. The specs, given that it is similar in form factor to the iPhone 5, are heavily underspecced. In fact, its specs are lower than that of the Samsung Galaxy S II, which is becoming a more and more affordable device as time goes on. The device is rather beefy (which for many will be a turn off, especially when you look at the iPhone 5's 7.6mm thick (thinner than the SGS2's 8.6(?)mm thick build) design). The camera is only 5MP, and probably worse than the Galaxy Nexus' 5MP shooter (again, compared to the iPhone 5, this could be a huge mistake). It's got a 1GHz dual core processor (which is fine for a device of it's size, but an Exynos with a higher clocking would have been a far better choice). The screen resolution should be slightly higher and/or Super AMOLED Plus; given the Super AMOLED Plus display on the Samsung Galaxy S II, which is only 0.3" larger, putting a PenTile display on a device with a non-HD resolution really feels like a slap to the face. While not a requirement/necessary, a 16:9 aspect ratio would have made it a little bit sweeter (assuming a Super AMOLED Plus display). This said, I feel it necessary to point out that no, I'm not an Apple fanboy. In fact, I'm a Samsung fanboy, and a particularly open minded one at that. While this device can be a success, against the iPhone 5, Samsung will have to market it very carefully and very strategically. One wrong move, one missed opportunity, can damn this devices chances for success. Samsung has to have the perfect way to convince people that the stuff that this device has compared to the competition makes it worth buying. Whether they will succeed, we shall see. Considerring this is basically a glorified Samsung Galaxy S, they have their work cut out for them, which is also why I say I see the chances of this failing being higher than its chances of success.
It is very very very bad pricing from samsung. You can get Htc One S, LG 4X HD or the old All Star SGS2 in this price range which in terms of specs are 100 times better than SGS3 mini. If samsung are gonna make SGS3 mini work for them, they need to do a better job on pricing this device. Does anyone Agree?
In UK it costs GBP 249 (excluding tax), which is equivalent to approximately RS. 21,165.00(excluding tax i.e VAT) in RS. if we add VAT tax of 14% in INDIA(differs wid state i guess), then its gonna cost us around RS.24,128 (Inclusive of taxes). In my view this amount is too costly wid this specs.....this is my personal opinion...i welcome any critics on dis...
