However, u can turn it off at Menu\Setting\general\personalisation\optical joystick.
So no problem at all.

Johny, 10 Dec 2008Great phone all around! but video player kinda week...no fast forward or Rewind...if i stop a ... morehmm.. why people always saying that the real player in this phone do not have the fast forward and rewind function for video???
The real player in this phone works the same as most Nokia Symbian phone.
When u watching video in horizontal mode, press the up navi key for fast forward and press the down navi key for rewind.
left and right navi key is for volumn control.
hmmm... hope this help to clear some confusion.
And btw, this is a symbian phone. Which mean there are dozens of third party funky video player out there for u to try for decade.

It is automatic lens cover. In fact it is even better than C905 and Renoir.
What about the battery? It can last for 2 and a half days for moderate use. What's more can we ask for a high end phone like this?

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2008This phone DOES have autorotation. You need to switch it on via the menu.Yea, it definitely have auto rotate.
Go to Menu\Setting\General\Personalisation\Display and turn on the Auto Pivot mode.

Innov8 is jack of all-trades.
Almost all my devices are touchscreen, from my mp3 to my laptop...
So, if i would consider a non-touchscreen phone most definitely it would this phone.
No offense to N96, but I think innov8 has a an edge over it.

Any suggestions?as far as specifications are concerned ofcourse go for Sansung, but only if you think all the functions of this one is useful for you , Xperia again is loaded with many functions but will be logical and worth to pay for it only if it is useful to you , or else Nokia the all time best is teh BEST to get with less spending to feel the smooth touch screen and awesome Music and browsing experience

ali, 11 Dec 2008It's realy bad phone very bad battry and lense cover dont loose your money :(I don't have any problem with lens cover ??? Battery is typical of most high end Symbian handsets. There is no other allround handset to compete with this beast, unless you want to sacrifice the camera for 5mp or you're happier with touchscreen.

As you've had your Innov8 for a little while now I wonder if you can (or anyone else) confirm that you can do voice dialling, using a bluetooth headset and a voice command?

seems like a very very good phone,
though in terms of processor, gsmarena claims that samsung themselves also said that innov8 uses only 1 processor...hmm
if this is soo...processor wise...I think even the supposedly "slow" n96 has an edge...
though according to gsmarena, samsung did a great jopb in using the processor...
judging from this...it seems after reading the comments about n96 even though n96 may be more powerful than innov8...innov8 uses its resources more efficiently...hence it is actually faster than n96 in most cases
and apart from that..the difference of the speed of n95 is alsmot the same of that of the innov8 hehehe
