Matt, 06 Sep 2008So lee , if i want good pictures , i must stick with c905 ?i think ive discovered the problem, the phone doesnt like its pc suite, especially if connected in pc suite mode. mine only seems to like using the 'mass storage', that and its not a great fan of using pc suite and windows media player to transfer music, i think it throws its hands up in protest and then crashes out with bad behaviour. hope that helps anyone so in conclusion-when he works he's a dreamy dark, cool and crisp handset, on other occasions hes a petulant teenager, throwing tantrums!
hey hey hey, the random fusion of metal and plastic encased technology randomly hiccuped twice and has started working properly!i didnt do anything at all, had resigned myself to a return to the nokia n95, and i dont know if my discussion in its presence about how poo it was that i was going to have to send him back prompted him to 'fix up and look sharp'!but hes back in my good books now!...we shall see if it lasts!
thanks to all those that tried to help the hiccup return to normality!

Now, Samsung are working on a touchscreen Symbian OS and we can expect to see it in a Samsung Mobile Phone in 2009.

I have been a nokia user for most my life and the more memory u have and use is common to slow your phone down plus symbian phones are always a lot slower than others
although it does look a decent phone for samsung!!even tho it has 8mp but no xenon flash!! Pointless having 8mp if no xenon flash! I am puzzled as to why sim free at carphone warehouse it is only £249.95 yet the silver n95 which is 2 years old is £399.95 sim free!! This must surely mean n95 silver is still more superior compared to this phone
hey samsung we do need really useful cameraphones you own enough ccd sensors.... i've seen so many samples in a lot of previews and the low light performance and the noise typical noise of cmos sensors is horrible....
Anonymous, 06 Sep 2008use yr music player, play a song then press option, set as ringtone. try it =)
i can do it that way, but i cant change the sms alert tone.im debating whether that is enough to send it back in addition to it slowing up every now and again.dont know whether sending it back to get another one will throw up even bigger issues or whether i should wait and see if an software upgrade would help.
from the sounds of it is it a software problem or a hardware one?
seriously, thoughts on what to do

ive received my phone from CPW and it seems to be working ok on the major things but somewhere along the line its hiccuping.
1. cant change ringtone, i click change and it says its 'opening' but never actually does, the bar just keeps on scrolling.
2.sometimes it just seems a little slow on the uptake, i press a button and have to wait an age before the phone reacts.
i dont know if i should send it back and start again, ive already loaded like 3,000 songs on it which is taking up less than half of the memory, and i have a relatively empty 8gb memory card in the phone. if its the firmware can i sort it out at home?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Its available at this website....
