Anonymous, 02 Jul 2009Thanks striker but now after all that you said , its still giving me the same problem ... Ev... moreVery very odd indeed. And you've tried sending different files through and have the same result every time? Hmmmmmm....... Have you tried your sim in a different handset? If you can receive the same MMS without any propblems on a different handset, then it's definitely not a network/provider issue and would then certainly be a problem with the Innov8......perhaps a firmware update would solve that.....the link and instructions for firmware updates have been posted here a few times, just scroll down and you should see it.

Hope this helps

As a guess, I'd say the file you are trying to receive may be corrupt.

Try and send a different pic to your phone, if that goes thru OK, then it's definitely a problem with the specific file you're receiving. If you have the same problem it may be a good idea to then remove and re-install you operators MMS settings

My settings are a bit different but I still get great battery life now.

Today I tested my Jabra 620 Bluetooth stereo headphones out while biking around the forest here in Holland.

They work fantastic with the music player. My player is Power MP3 which is better than the one built in.

I have a playlist with about 500 oldies from the 60's and 70s and play that. with one tap on the left earpiece I can advance to the next song. with one tap on right ear piece I can answer a call and talk while biking. The music begins agin when I hang up.

The Route 66 Nav system voice is also loud and clear.

For those of you who don't have bluetooth STEREO headset, its well worth buying some because they work great with this phone. A2DP.

Range is about 20 feet away from phone

petergi, 01 Jul 2009so i got it and have to say its a great phone but have some main dissadvatages.first of all yo... moreMy flash when video recording goes on for 2-3 seconds then goes off but when you press record the flash reactivates..So its does work..

Your second question,,
Menu >>settings >>settings>>general >>personalisation >>display >>all your customisation is there.

My settings are below but you choose your own,,the longer you leave backlight it does decrease battery time..

auto brightness>> off
power saving mode>> on
brightness level>> 50%
auto pivot>> off
font size>> small
welcome note/logo>> default
light time out>> 20 seconds
dim time >> 5 seconds

Auto pivot switches off your auto screen rotation so switch on if you use it,,
Do switch auto brightness off as i believe and others that it uses more battery than it saves,,

This is my battery invention to last longer... i fully charge battery,,then leaving charger plugged in i set off a video on repeat direct from real player app..After a while the battery meter starts going up and down as if charging,,which it is..You then keep up this till the battery meter stops wich for me was 9 hrs later ..Then away you go with strong battery..

P.S. best do it over night like i did..

irvinehooi, 01 Jul 2009Hi, I found out that my INNOV8 having sound syncronisation problem when using video recorde... moreI understand what your saying about edge query,,This answer may be true its a guess..When you have email requests or mms requests it often says Items Will Be Sent On Next Connection ,,i think in your mms or email settings you have to switch an option to,,Send Immedeatly ,,else the email and mms just sit there till some connectivity action occurs and then your connection to edge activates..

So to sum up the above,,go to message settings and set your mms and email settings to send immedeatly..

If that fails are you signed up to any mms alerts cause i am a nd they come in on there own,,it does seem an app is trying to connect somewhere along the line..

The vid/sync issues is happening in the hd recording in i8910 as well,,its a rudy pain and should be solved by now ,it obvious that its recording the audio easily but taking a microsecond longer to record the picture/video but on windows media apps you can adjust this audio sync issue in the applications ,but, i cannot find a media player with this setting for symbian,,yet??

Peter, please read thru ALL the posts here. I hate to repeat myself but I also had bad battery UNTIL I upgraded the firmware.

Please people, read thru the posts ,,,,,,,,,,most of you answers are already here.

As for Nav screen not on all the time that is in the software. I use Route 66 and one of the options is SCREEN ON always.,

Hope that helps and good luck.

The firmware number upgrade that totally gave me 4 times more battery life was I8510XXIB2.

The apps included in this firmware are Road Sync, Route 66, Asphalt 4, FIFA, Norton Security and a few more.

YTB, 01 Jul 2009Hi, is there a way to backup all the contents of my INNOV8 (all the contacts, notes, SMS...etc... moreYTB

There is a backup function in PC Studio........where you can choose to backup the phone, mem card or both.

also in PC studio click on 'synchronize' to save all your messages and contacts.

You will have to re install all your apps though after the firmware upgrade.
