hi,i got my samsung beam in January but now al of a sudden it just wont make out going calls-once i dial i get a blank-(white screen) than back to the manu.how ever i can receive and text.what causes that?
anybody with this.this phone has been discontinued by our service provider-not sure why.

First service - they said "it is a software problem". Second service - it is a software problem. Third service - they changed anthena. Forth service they changed motherboard. Fifth service - i was offered to choose some other phone, and I did it...this phone has a factory problem in areas where he switch from 2g to 3g and way around...it can not find signal anymore...

AnonD-136587, 18 May 2013Yes yes!! There's a weird clicking sound that i have to really listen closely to hear...how do... moreIt happened to my beam too! Fortunately, I kind of fixed it by playing with the focus slider back and forth. (because I got so frustrated. Lol)
I was surprised that the focus worked again. Thank goodness. I was lucky I guess. XD
Now I hope the JB update comes soon. :)

There's a weird clicking sound that i have to really listen closely to hear...how do... moreTry to reset it to factory default before you go to repair.backup your data with kies or other desktop software .don't worry of losing data since you got more choice.sms call log can be backuped using sms backup+ to gmail .try on play store to find it.

Solution: one week in the repair shop to replace the projector. Fortunately it is still in warranty. Consequence: in one week weird noise while in call on my side. Solution: one week in the repair shop to replace the headset. Consequence: in one week time i got the same noise while on call. Solution: one week in the repair shop to replace (they say) the microphone. I was asking to fully replace the mobile because of those 3 failures in one month (in 4 months after being bought). Answer from the Samsung repair shop: Samsung policy is to repair the mobile as long as it still can be repaired!!! and extend the warranty with a period equal with the period in the repair shop!!! No warranty extension for the replaced spare parts. I am very disappointed. And i am computers and communication engineer with alot of ecperience in the field...
