@ pastech what are you talking about battery size to same hardware wp7 beats Android compare HTC desire to HTC mozart, the other thing to note is these are best figures so Android just turns everything off once you have it updating Facebook and pushing emails Android falls over esp with multitasking this kills battery life. Android fanboys are getting as bad as Apple ones. Ps I'm writing this on a HTC desire so don't think I'm a Windows fan
WinMo7 looks good & all but I find the main menu a bit confusing, also that much side scrolling is not user friendly. Overall the UI is made like one huge messy table, nothing seems to be organized & an option to do it doesn't seem to be available either.
PaSTech, 14 Oct 2010I've noticed a trend, ALL the NEW phones running Windows 7 have got MUCH shorter battery life ... moreBald claims, full phone specifications haven't been released and your conclusion is based on default/unknown info. Windows phone is most battery optimized mobile OS and lack of multitasking confirms that.
I have used this phone and experience is amazing, so much better than HTC Desire or Incredible.
Also, this phone has exchangeable internal microSD card as the most of WP7 lineup.
WM7 should be allow the users can be customize the fonts size and fonts type also
Well, i have some opinion about your battery life. this phone display is Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors and screen Size(480 x 800 pixels and 4.0 inches) is excellence but battery life is so bad (Standard battery, Li-Ion 1500 mAh)your company so should be increase from 1500 mAh to 3500 mAh)is the best.
your phone physical very good. if your company could be design the back side like front side is the best and the windows phone 7 should install another keyboard type like Khmer Unicode...etc. know iphone every every popular in the world because of so many software are free and they can type there own language. so they like. at the end i really request your company include Khmer Unicode into your windows phone 7 this Khmer website http://www.cambodia.org/fonts/ if your company can free so many software and insert khmer fonts your company will get more and more customers. contact me firstname.lastname@example.org
MS has come to the party !!! niceee WM7 beats Andriod crapp n wayy more intutive IOS... cant wait for the Asus fone :P

Get a life and get a good phone. Let us battle it out here on GSM Arena, that is why it is called ARENA, it is an exchange of opinions, pros and cons to let you find a good phone that caters to your needs.
I've noticed a trend, ALL the NEW phones running Windows 7 have got MUCH shorter battery life (Stand-by & Talk-time), than the similar handsets with the Android OS...
Windows 7 Mobile is obviously resource intesive, when compared to Andoird/Symbian/iOS.
i duno why ppl wana oppose dis and dat, y must everythng not made from apple is a loser? i dun use any new fons, i'm still using my old but great nokia 3310, yea i noe those who thnk i am a loser still usign such old fon, but tell u one thng, i use an old fon coz i dun nid new fons for d time being, i can listen my music on my zune player, i can play my games on my ps3 and pc. its nt saying dat new fons are bad, but my point of view is, respect others man, not owes non apple products are bad. they have thier pros and cons so is apple. so, dun be such a fan boy saying dis is all godlike good while d other is all noobish crap.
It is amazing this phones and others Window 7 introduced few days and it is already dead before come out. Nothing still can beat iPhone, Blackberry or Android.
Anonymous, 13 Oct 2010"There are some limitations though – we didn’t see RDS or an option to play the sound thr... moreActually, my apologies for the reaction. I found this on Microsoft's WP7 site:
"To switch between speaker and headset modes
1 While playing a station, tap and hold the station number.
2 Tap Radio mode: headset or Radio mode: speaker to switch between the two options."
I think GSMArena reviewer has missed this feature, but I forgive him/her because Microsoft has made it so counter-intuitive that you HAVE to read the documentation just to find out. Couldn't Microsoft just put a speaker/headphone button somewhere like the bottom-right corner or something?
Still from the looks of it, I'm probably going to stick with Android. I like the social concept of WP7, but to have my smartphone too limiting on me, is something I wouldn't like.
"There are some limitations though – we didn’t see RDS or an option to play the sound through the headphones (their cord serves as an antenna) – the sound always comes out of the loudspeaker."
What? Radio ALWAYS on loudspeaker?! Who wants to listen to FM radio on loudspeaker? C'mon it's supposed to be a phone, not a 1980 vintage radio...
For a moment I considered this phone.. No thanks Samsumng. I'll wait for HTC's Desire HD.
And GSMArena, you must be mentioning this as the FIRST disadvantage in your review... WP7-related or not.
eko, 13 Oct 2010U know the first android n iphone also lack of everything, but they soon release the upgrade n... moreThat's funny. Why would anyone watching Apple first lack features then release updates to add them want to do the same?
Unless it's some marketing gimmick of course. (That could explain why Google did the same with Android.) Get the phones released, have people complain about not being able to copy/paste for 2 days, push an update that enables copy/paste.
Some inside guy will leak the following info a week later: The copy/paste feature was already built in WP7, but disabled so that it can be later enabled via an update at the right time to boost market.
i think Bada is more efficient more than this crap :P
i have the wave and it rocks even better than iOS and the gr8 android :D and the kid's nokia phones
Well I have to say some words regarding the missing features..
1) File Manager. It is a nice addition that would come as an application...
2) No Bluetooth file transfer...That is irritating to me but I think it is related to point 1 and Microsoft should fix as well as copy and paste.
As for the other points...I can not see them prohibiting me from buying the phone that I am sure that a big corporation is behind...I mean look at Bing....I see big things coming for WP7...
Ok, you don't have to be a genius to see that the OS lacks few important features, but give it a chance, I'm sure updates will come shortly. On the bright side, all wp7 phones are nearly identical specwhise (512 mb RAM, 1st gen Snapdragon) so apps won't have problems running on each of the phones. This is the problem with Android today. I'm curious how the whole xbox and zune experience will benefit the phones on a long term, but I foresee a bright future for the OS. Cheers
