hamid and sajjad
i have a firmware same as yours, cant seem to find route66. is it installed in this firmware? where?
to all my friends...
my HD phone is a month old and already it has started showing dust inside the screen, no idea from where it is penetrating... anyone else with the problem?
Hard reset will wipe out everything, even from the mass memory.. all your files, videos, music and apps would be lost.. it will make your phone the way it was when you bought, as good as brand new.. I also think there is no problem with 12MB memory, but its upto you.. i never have had the need to do the HARD RESET..
For backup you can use The Symbian Tool..
thanks for advicing me but 12 mb is annoying me... After deleting cache its now 12... Yes some apps folder cum in phone memory but they r in kbs...
Also i hav checked apps maneger there is no app installed in phine memory...
Now i am going to reset my phone... but u all tell me clearly by reseging will my phone memory will only formats or mass memory too... Harsh wrote only phone but hamid said that mass memory will also...
Harsh did u ever tried this...
Also rohit said nelow that he has dome and got abt 43 mb free.... And he didnt write anything abt mass memory..
Tell me clearly...
And yes hamid if mass memory then how can i get back my mass memory... Its 10 gb in use... Hav loads of snaps and videos... Loads of music.. Loads of themes... I dont wang to loss them all...
So tell how to back up... There is a folder in omnia hd which has an option to backup ur either phone or mass memory.. Can i do reset before adding mass memory in backup option or not...
Also i hav never used pc studio... U tell if backuping is done from pc studio then how....
I hope u all will help me out... Actually 11 mb really annoys... Thanks in advace..
hamid, 25 Jan 2010Thanks Symbios,
Yes i meant a lifetime free voice guidance but it wouldnt be only for the 5... morehamid,
I thought this was only for 5800, i'll look for Ovi Maps v3.3 and send u a link bro
cia, 24 Jan 2010lol... I was talking abt phone memory... Its only 11 mb free...Cia,
There is nothing wrong with having 11mb of phone memory....every app that u install on ur device must save some of its extracted files in the phone memory.....it happens with every app u install....without that the apps wouldnt function....There isnt much u can do about this issue...
Does anyone know a way to have Mass storage as your default 'memory in use'
When ever i disconnect from pc then go into msgs it will change where msgs are saved in. I always have to manually make mass storage where msgs are saved everytime.
This is really announying.
There is no setting
hamid, 25 Jan 2010Cia, By doing the *#7370# your problem will be fixed but u will loose almost everything pre... morehey hamid, i think you can download things from opera mobile into the mass storage or memory card too.. i've always downloaded stuff into the mass storage from opera mobile..
hamid, 25 Jan 2010Is it realy?? By entering the code *#7370# i will loose everything...i mean every single prein... moreand what is the other way to hard reset? yep, i'm pretty dumb in these matters :)
hamid, 25 Jan 2010Is it realy?? By entering the code *#7370# i will loose everything...i mean every single prein... moreno, i did not backup the pre-installed apps like dictionary and LBS.. and they were still present after i hard reset the phone using the code.. that is, before i restored the backup from the PC..
cia, 24 Jan 2010Hey tell me before reseting wat was the memory condition of urs..... Let me know...also i had nearly 3500 messages in my inbox + sent + drafts etc.. now those are gone (i have a backup on the PC though)
cia, 24 Jan 2010Hey tell me before reseting wat was the memory condition of urs..... Let me know...i'd installed tonnes of apps and games (thanks to sajad and others).. everytime i install something, though i'd install it in the mass storage, my phone memory would decrease little by little.. soon it came down to around 19MB.. obviously, i also had quite a large cache.. maybe if i'd cleared that i would have got a few MBs..
mr.hemo, 25 Jan 2010hi all . i want buy this phone .. plz somebody tell me what about sound volume in speakerphone... moremr.hemo
let me tell u bro i always prefer full volume in my ringtones, but bro this phone's volume after advance setting is so high that i have to select 3 bars of volume out of 5.means its having v.v.loud and clear speakers
cia, 24 Jan 2010hmmmm... I deleted cache from web... And i got 1 mb free.. Till now i hav not reset...
I wi... morecia,
Other in my phone memory is only 9MB.. So it means something is occupying it.. Do one thing, go to application manager and check the installed apps.. Check for the memory card or mass memory sign next to it.. The one with no sign next to it is installed on phone memory.. Try it out..
hope ur not our neighbour rosy aunty whose daughters are hot and sexy.
rosy ur problem was renaming applications on n86 so here is the trick
1. Create a new folder in the menu(you must be in Grid View for this trick to effect) name this new folder what ever you want or just simply use folder!
2. Move(or place) the application u want to rename in the first(or should i say upper left most) position in the menu.
3. In the menu highlight the new folder you created(in step 1), press option, after pressing option pop up window will appear and while the OPEN option is in highlight, press the power off/on of your cell(but don't turn it off ok!)
4. select offline mode.
5. after you select offline mode the highlight will go to the first(or should i say the upper left most) position in the menu where you placed the application you want to rename right!!! and the pop up window still remain with the option Rename on it.
6. Now choose Rename and you can rename your application.
cia, 24 Jan 2010hi!!! I think u can help me out in this problem... as i read ur on post on gsmarena right now.... moreCia,
By doing the *#7370# your problem will be fixed but u will loose almost everything preinstalled(my own experience)(mass memory will format) and u should restore them all back manually...By having a back up via pc studio u will be able to restore almost 90% of them back,BTW.
Did u update ur quick office recently?? cause i have had the same issue...the damn new files will be stored only on the c memory, nowhere else...
And dl anything via Opera mobile will be saved on c also...
Symbios, 24 Jan 2010Hamid,
I think u are referring to the lifetime licence for the voice navigator of the Nokia... moreThanks Symbios,
Yes i meant a lifetime free voice guidance but it wouldnt be only for the 5800 but for the all nokias,
But if the only one which could be installed on my OHD is just the 5800's map, then i would be more than happy...;D
rohit, 24 Jan 2010hey symbios, hamid
i restored factory settings, just to see if the parasitic advanced device ... moreIs it realy?? By entering the code *#7370# i will loose everything...i mean every single preinstalled!!!
Maybe u backed it up and restore them all back by that way...
Its intresting, did u try by the other way than the code mentioned above?
