Hi All i8910 users out there, I'm just a second from buying this great-looking mobile phone and I'd like to know, for this day, what are the cons you are aware of, what can be solved etc ...

Another important question is, can I install my own GPS application (like Sygic)?

Thx,
Lirsch.

to install third party apps, you first need to hack your phone using HelloOX2!!!! go to helloox2.com
---the route66 that comes with the phone is not free
---go to www. dotsis.com to download cracked versions of nokia ovi maps. this software has voice navigation for free. I am currently using nokia ovi map. it's very good. No INternet connection needed!!!!
---google map is just a map. it doesn't have voice navigation!!!! It Requires internet data plan!!!!! forget google map. i am cheap like that hahahaha.
---this phone supports avi video formats and many more. you just copy videos and paste to the phone. it will work like a dream!! no conversion needed!!!

just got my hd over the iphone 3gs and the lgkm900 arena
chose the hd coz of the camera features.
all screens are capacitive.
large phone, definitely for large hands.
samsung won my vote.
my second samsung touchscreen phone, first was the f480 tocco then this.

jp, 02 Dec 2009i just want to ask if the 720p HD video recording has 24 fps? because according to the review ... morehi jp, ive used both iphone 3gs and i own the HD, but its a very hard choice, both are very good, but in differant ways, for me the things i dont like with 3gs are, screen, you can only view it straight on, a slight tilt left or right and the pic seams to vanish, camera, 3mp, no flash, no options, no memory card slot, cant change battey and carry a spare, to simple to use, i know that sounds odd, but theres just not much to discover with it, its all about the apps, thats were its got the edge, lots of apps, but most are just silly, theres some good ones, but for me the hd won my vote, for the camera, loads of fuctions, and lot of phone menus, which i like, the omlead screen realy is so good, side by side with the 3gs you realy notice the differance, and it just feels right, ive got many many apps from mobile9 .com, with more going on each day, im more than happy with my choice, and my freind with his 3gs, wishes he had one

/mona/, 29 Nov 2009ooow ur answer is YES!!! ok can u lead & guide me for install the flash,fire..? by theway i ... moreI'm so respectful for this text's writer, but I'm so sorry cuz I don't remember who he was!

Here U R mona, it seems that u R the volunteer!!!

"hey hamid and all who need it,

i know i promised these links since yesterday but I only got the chance now!
the first link takes you to the file which has a tutorial video,
symbian flashing tools and all the drivers you will need and the second link has some additional firmwares.

important - this can only be done using windows xp

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=duo1jdkl

http://samsungi8910omnia.com/i...e-downloads/

after both files are downloaded install all the drivers in the first download, the i8910 drivers must be installed as well!
after all the drivers are installed just follow the video step by step! now put your phone in bootloader mode as demonstrated
and u'll notice some more drivers automatically install! now the download button should be highlighted!

too those of you who plan to use the i8910xxii1 firmware like me!

the following must be done in the pda_code_i8910xxii1 folder:-

now this may become a little confusing or complicated or both ;)

1. in the pda_code_i8910xxii1 folder create a subfolder called "uboot"

2. copy the "nb1" and "nb2" subfolders to "uboot"(do not "move" the folders, be sure to only "copy")

3. go to the "core" subfolder and copy the "i8910xxii1_xxx.rom.img" to "uboot" folder and rename to "i8910xxii1_xxx.ubootldr.img"

4. in the "uboot" folder create another "uboot" subfolder(yes another one)

5. now simply copy the renamed "i8910xxii1_xxx.ubootldr.img" file to the second "uboot" folder

6. now in the rom flasher, untick the "boot" option next to "format"

7. finally click the "download" button on the rom flasher

the flashing process takes about 2-3 minutes

make sure your phone is fully charged and ensure that you make a back up of all your data!

good luck guys!"

I was waiting for the US release and it looks like Samsung doesnt have any such plan. If it is not available by Xmas, I may have to go to N97 mini which comes with full US warranty though I am not happy with the specs of N97 mini.
