good too hear that u bought it so cheap:)
U know i bought mine from microtel ab... morehey hamid and all who need it,
i know i promised these links since yesterday but i only got the chance now!
the first link takes you to the file which has a tutorial video,
symbian flashing tools and all the drivers you will need and the second link has some additional firmwares.
important - this can only be done using windows xp
after both files are downloaded install all the drivers in the first download, the i8910 drivers must be installed as well!
after all the drivers are installed just follow the video step by step! now put your phone in bootloader mode as demonstrated
and u'll notice some more drivers automatically install! now the download button should be highlighted!
too those of you who plan to use the i8910xxii1 firmware like me!
the following must be done in the pda_code_i8910xxii1 folder:-
now this may become a little confusing or complicated or both ;)
1. in the pda_code_i8910xxii1 folder create a subfolder called "uboot"
2. copy the "nb1" and "nb2" subfolders to "uboot"(do not "move" the folders, be sure to only "copy")
3. go to the "core" subfolder and copy the "i8910xxii1_xxx.rom.img" to "uboot" folder and rename to "i8910xxii1_xxx.ubootldr.img"
4. in the "uboot" folder create another "uboot" subfolder(yes another one)
5. now simply copy the renamed "i8910xxii1_xxx.ubootldr.img" file to the second "uboot" folder
6. now in the rom flasher, untick the "boot" option next to "format"
7. finally click the "download" button on the rom flasher
the flashing process takes about 2-3 minutes
make sure your phone is fully charged and ensure that yoy make a back up of all your data!
good luck guys!

U know i bought mine from microtel about 4 mounth ago and guess how much??..........................................670kt 8g LOL, but with one year official warranty.
Anyways, its a great phone even with the current firmware and im happy with it...
Regarding audio quality buddy u should throw out those sh*tphones came with the phone and get urself a pair of good ones like sony or somthin'...then all u have to do is to "tune ur audio up" just go through a secret menu by dialing the number *#0002*28346# then tap on the No,2 MP3 HeadPHN, then tap on the 4. HS Gain then change it from 0dB to 6dB just tap on No.6 then# and its done just to save this, tap on BACK 3 times till u r back to the main Audio_Tune menu then hit the No.6 Back-Up you will shown the message "back up ok"...
Enjoy ur best musicphone ever,lOl
Firmware issues are minor comparin to other new commers like the satio or the N97 with its very early firmware...
My phone stuck only twice since i bought it and all those two freezes happend when i was on its web browser...i just got the opera mobile 10 and using it instead of its own browser and its a masterpiece...
Also u could get opera mini 5 beta or its older 4.2 if u want go to facebook or youtube or whatever through a back door proxy ;)
Feel free if u have any question im here as well as other guys and we will help u to keeping ur HD up to date...
Enjoy ur new goody...;D
Symbios, 25 Nov 2009Jin Madera,

SaSy, 26 Nov 2009Sry for the long period of time, I made u to wait 4 my answer, and it's all because of univers... morehey sasy, bro dnt tell me that the phone lacks music powerness, coz if u want more music powerness in the headphones and loudspeaker then go to ADVANCE SETTING by pressing *0002*28346# and change it bro.,u know wat the factory setting is 0 db,but u can increase it to 20 db.that means it becomes the most powerfull music phone in the market, but hey hey dnt forget to purchase a decent set of earphones becoz the earphones given with it sucks.
hamid, 19 Nov 2009Hi, im fine tnx, congrates on that...:D
My firm ver is the same bro (JVIF6) i didnt flash i... moreSry for the long period of time, I made u to wait 4 my answer, and it's all because of university, that I live in rasht and study in tehran, and I don't have that much time for internet works there(and I'm a rookie in uni!)..
I just told a friend who has a phone shop(!) to buy one for me from samsung, cuz now we've got a new problem in iran called "battery changing"!!!:D
I bought it, 580KT, and it's 8GB (it seems that we don't have a single 16GB in iran anymore!!!) but it could be a little cheaper, to likes of 560, anyway I'm really relaxed with the phone in my hands, even it has some symbian problems like sometimes I can't open dic (for that I think I need to find a full oxford dic 4 the phone) and the Qoffice that I wanted to ask bros here for a full Qoffice link, cuz I need to have the right to make .doc files in my mobilephone..
and the audio quality is bad, but not that much (maybe I think this way cuz I haven't hear new ver's!), I think it won't push me to flash the phone and lose farsi..
and about the battery life, it's so amazing that if I fully charge it, I can listen upto 7 hours music with the headphone but still have a bar in hand, even if I still have paranoid that my battery works wrong cuz in the first 3 hours it loses 4 bars while 5th and 6th will last a year(!),lol
I'll contact some friend for the farsi pack if I get some free time, but I don't know what people here mean by loseing the factory convertor cuz if I can mean it correctly it means restoring phone to factory settings and flash means making software from begining in my dictionary(so u R the factory somehow)!
I hope to be back asap, and see ur anwers..

Makes sence, that the s8000 is faster then the i8910, but how much ?
Is the i8910 slow in the menus ?
Sarah, 24 Nov 2009I have a samsung tocco (the original) and i had a few problems with the screen locking up and ... moreSo..you also have had some problems. But I believe it would not be wise to dub it as a “Screen Problem” without actually knowing more about it. I’ll wait for more comments.
As far as the 2nd part goes, yesterday was the first time I got my hands on a real working piece of Satio in a Sony Ericsson show-room. And I was glad that I bought the Omnia HD about 2 weeks back. Satio surely has better looks than the Omnia, but I found it a bit thicker. Especially at the camera lens cover, It is irritatingly thick (Omnia is Sleek all throughout). No matter how much you may read about resistive & capacitive screens on various forums but one actually has to try out in person to get the real feel. With my SOHD, I am used to giving the slightest of touches to get a response. The Satio was real bad in that case. I really could feel myself “PUSHING” to get my work done, though I must confess that it is better than the other resistive screens such as the Samsung Star or the Nokia 5800. But Satio was totally blown apart in terms of colours, saturation & Screen clarity. SOHD is too good when it comes to the visual experience.
Furthermore do not fall into the Megapixel Trap. 8 MP or 12 MP, it makes no difference in a phone coz it all depends on the Optics & sensors used in the camera (If you are confused…read my post on “The Megapixel Myth” a few days back. Just type ‘myth’ in the search column & you’ll be directed to that post.) I advise you to go through the linked article before thinking that 12 MP is better than 8 MP. On top of that, SOHD has unbeatable HD Video recording which Satio can never match. Also It has no 3.5 mm audio jack (shitttt…) and still priced more than the SOHD. The xenon flash is the only thing that is a good about it. So just do a bit more research before deciding on any one.
As far as I am concerned, SOHD is simply too good to be true.
