Can you use opera mini 5 flawlessly on this phone? Is route 66 & india maps preloaded? Also the size of the phone- for single handed use as well as size in pocket is somethin that is bothering me. Let me know your experience n thx for helping :)

Working great for me.
here is no Indian firmware update right now. But if I see my self as an Indian user, "no firmware update" woudn't stop my world. With no proper 3G around, I still have to depend on WAP/GPRS so it really dosen't matter that much. I agree, users say that the overall performance of the device has improved but I still have to discover the flaws in mine to appreciate the changes & I really can't find them easily.
May I know for how many days have you been following this forum?

Frankly speaking Omnia HD is not a multi touch device (I hope it was). So it wud not register the sequence in which you hit the keys (if you press two keys simultaneously). You need to lift one finger completely before you type another letter. Seems strange at first, but if you know the tricks of typing fast, this wud hardly affect you. I am used to the old Nokia Alphanumeric pads with which I cud type at grt speeds without looking. I am almost about to reach the same speed with the touch pad also (Not without looking though. That wud need some more practice). With the QWERTY, we can type even faster but I personaly prefer the alphanumeric keypad (maybe coz old habits die hard).

But if one tries to type really fast then can the omnia hd register the touches as well as a physical keyboard?
Is it will come to my country, Indonesia? How about the price now? I meant in us dollar. I think this gadget is the best of the best phone ever.

Typing on the keybord is fun yaar. It might not be a physical one but the vibration feedback gives an awesome experience. You feel like you are physically typing on a keyboard. Moreover the capacitive scren makes typing all the more fast.
Warning: If you have tried typing a message on your friends Nokia Express Music 5800 or N97 or Samsung Star etc. and have negative feelings about touchscreen typing, BEWARE coz they are resistive touchscreens (They suck while typing..produce gibberish) . Typing on a capacitive screen is totally different; very easy and fast; you would hardly miss a letter with some practice.Make sure you try out a capacitive screen first. If no friend has an Omnia HD then try it on the Samsung Ultra touch which is more easily available in Malls or showrooms to try out.
Hey anybody here miss a physical keyboard on this phone?? is typing on this touchscreen easy compared to physical keyboard?
--you need to learn how to flash the firmware bro.
--battery can last up to two days with average usage. not playing games or watching dvd movies. it will kill the battery less than a day. Turn off gps, bluetooth, wifi scan, lower display level, ect to get the best battery efficiency.
Is any Samsung guy present here? If yes then I am requesting them to please release a worldwide firmware update for it. Why they are so careless about this device? This device would be a hot cake if a good steady software support its beautiful hardware.
do some of you guys have problems with receiving MMS with tmobile USA? I can receive the MMS, but the picture size is always 7kb maximum!!!! the size is so small you can't even see anything. I bought nokia n79 last year, and it had the same problems just like this omnia hd.
i want to know. thanks
