Hey guys,

i own both the Nokia N86 8MP and the Samsung i8910 HD. The camera on my N86 seems to be alot better than that of my i8910 HD i'm not sure if its my firmware or what. My camera images are very dark and the camera absorbs very little light when on the other hand the camera on the N86 absorbs so much light that everything in the room can be seen clearly. Plus my camera has no smile detection feature, and the majority of the scenes available to choose from only when i set it no scene is the flash available to me...is that normal or do i really need to have this checked

http://wwww.store.ovi.com has a bunch of apps but u can only access that page via ur i8910 HD after make a very simple adjustment. download file named 101F8731.txt and using ur Y-browser app u can simply copy that file to the c:\private\10202be9 and after doing that u'll be app to access the above webpage. u cannot install OVI store on ur phone but the installation of the mentioned file allows to by-pass the authentication. try it and get back to me with any questions

http://www.getjar.com has a whole list of java apps, http://www.gallery.mobile9.com has some apps as well, http://www.mmcforums.net has alot of nokia themes which seem to work on i8910 HD, with a few adjustments and file transfers ur i8910 HD can access nokia OVI store like mine can, its not a really a hack all u do is copy a file to the phone memory and instant access, if any are interested then i can provide the file.

rohit, 26 Oct 2009:) thanks! i'm a keen enthusiast of mobile phones and i visit the gsmarena site and this page ... moreToday something amazing happened. I was shopping in Santacruz & just out of curiosity I asked a sjop the price of the Omnia HD. Can U guess what he said..????

Rs 19,000

Shittttttttt...!!!!!

I made him double check by giving the code no. also (i8910)and the 16GB condition. and he satisfied all specs. But instead of buying the phone (he didn't have it then- I had to order it first), I just came out and never went back coz it sounded too good and fishy to be true- might even be asmuggle piece.

But now that I think again...I jiust wanted to ask (for the sake of asking ( I know is's stupid); HAS ANYONE HEARD OF A PRICE CUT FOR THE OMNIA HD IN INDIA?

hamid, 27 Oct 2009rohit and vbhv007, Thank you so much guyz, its been always my duty to help people on this f... moreDear Hamid & Rohit

A forum is not ONLY about discussions and Advices. It is also about appreciating the efforts of the people who try to make a difference. That not only helps in inculcating a feeling of brotherhood but also helps a forum like ours, radiate warm feelings towards the general reader which I feel is very important.

This is also important for those people who are new to the forum and can't go say 40 or 50 pages back to see useful posts (ask me...I tried doing that during my initial research and its a pain in the back going back such a long way). Thus such people know who is the right person to contact and it saves so much of their time.

So once again Cheers and Great Going

hamid, 27 Oct 2009All of them are same (but may with different firmwares). In different countries it has differe... moreTHANKS Hamid! Can you tell the quality of the phone base on Firmware version? I went to ImportGSM.com and asked question in regards to teh Omnia hd that their selling...And they said that their Omnia i8910 phone were made in Singapore but their price is cheap compare to celluco.com. Went to the Celluloco.com and asked the same question...They said that their Omnia i8910 were made in Korea but their price is few dollars more. Do you think that, in able to know the quality of the phone you need to base it on firmware version or where the phones made(doesn't matter whichever firmware version) Ohh...if you remember, like Nokia, most people like the MADE IN FINLAND because thats were NOKIA originated(they don't care about firmware version) and people backout if they found out that some of Nokia were MADE IN CHINA or other country. Need a guide here, need some decision which Omnia i8910 hd to buy?

THANKS again hamid! =)
