i am no more with i8910 anymore as mine has been shattered by Samsung care..
guys who are from India,
lemme warn u before u start flashing your devices..
do it properly and follow all steps stated by Andy(Hyperx) or Faenil,
if in case your handset faces any hardware issues after that Samsung care will not be able to help you,
they don”t repair parts instead just replace the complete motherboard if they have..
unfortunately, they don”t have motherboard of this specy as Samsung has stopped manufacturing this phone..
so if your phone is under warranty you may take chances but if not beware it may turn into a crap..
mine was 11months old (under warranty) so i am getting complete refund as they are not able to replace motherboard..
well everybody is not so lucky as i am..
once i get refund in 15 days will go for the media monster Nokia n8..
best of luck for your future custom Roms..
i hope we will see some revolutionary things once Symbian 3 comes out..
Noah, 23 Aug 2010So, Finally got this phone after much research, and have been using it for a month. I have to... moreWhat exactly you mean by turning the LED flash on?? With out the virtual machine on WIN 7 flashing firmware is not possible.
Finally got this phone after much research, and have been using it for a month. I have to say, I made the right choice. No matter what people say about the wave, bigger screen is much more imp, plus wave looks like a sissy phone. Newayz, evn without custom firmware, i8910 still isn't as problematic as i thought it would be. Anywayz, I have 2 questions for xperienced users. What is the code for turning on the led flash. I tried *#0*#, but couldnt find any option. Also, could ne1 successfully flash firmware in windows 7 without virtual xp.
michael, 16 Aug 2010such a phone, design, camera etc... and you got symbian on it.... what a shit!!So i guess u are one of those Iphone users who wishes apple would add atleast half of the features that our "shit" symbian devices have!! or maybe you a Droid fan "CDMA only" which is just raw asss!! or HTC with their pastry OS!!
for those who'd want to use skype on omnia hd, goto faenils website and follow the link to skype's forum and post a request to the devs to add omnia hd into their support device list!!!!
Its important and urgent. You will understand the rest when you will visit the it.
FF, 21 Aug 2010which of the updates are better?
is it from faenil or hyper x?FF,
the firmwares are very similiar and now there are very few unique things about either, before faenil firmwares where alot more stable tha hyperx but now hyperx firwares are very stable, hyperx also tends to have more stuff addding apart from porting stuff from other devices and faenil works hard at being the first at everthing from adding frame rate fix, kinetic scrolling and now Qt so they both have ther advantages and disadvantages but from the moment i flashed to HX-V5 i have not had any urge to even go back to my n203

I love i8910 but i have to say Galaxy S is better even without Flash its still good. The Galaxy S Epic is even better because it has flash and slide key board, but its Cdma and can't work with GSM networks. I really hope Samsung makes a GSM version.

Hey, video recording on the wave should be better because it @30fps and i8910 is @24 with hyperX. Still shorts the i8910 should look better. Screen wise the i8910 is bigger but the wave has the best looking screen on the planet. Don't get me wrong the i8910 has a monster of a screen also. So if size matters than get omnia HD. As far as apps go am still not buying this Bada thing so I don't think the wave has the edge as far as apps go, cause with hyperX you can get almost any app you want.
I have to say Omnia HD but you know what you are looking for so the choice is yours. Hope this helped.
Hi all user. I 1 2 ask question. 8910 no multi touch, so after we updated the firmware, can it support multi touch?
If not support, maybe i go for i9000 galaxy s instead of omnia HD.

Thanks for any help from this exciting forum.
Hey...erm. frankly speaking, me being the user of Omnia HD. it rocks. simply the vibrant features has perplexed me and i love my phone. the large screen = best for watching movies. :)
however, the battery is very weak. :(

Man, i have used both.. well as far as screen is concerned, bigger size makes it better to watch movies, and you will feel it when you see it in i8910.. and i have used wave and its speed really suckzz.. i mean UI lags a bit.. Camera and battery after advance settings are no less.. Multi-touch, i would definitely say that wave has a upper hand.. Otherwise both are masterpieces, not to be compared..
foxie, 15 Aug 2010where did u get the firmware?is it for free?tanx..i really need some help..pls do email me at ... morehi foxie.
just search hx v7 on youtube. the videos there will tell you where to download the softwares from and also show the procedure to install.
My advice is either download the video for guidance or watch it side by side while installing.
bye & take care.
Samsung omnia better than wave? Wave has Super-Amoled screen, multi-touch, 1ghz processor, better graphics card, 512mb ram, amazing video player, excelent audio quality... Very portable... i8910 is good, but it's very big, uses Li-Ion Battery (poor), and capacitive with no multi-touch
thanks guys for replay,
some one told me that the wave camera is better than Omnia although omnia has camera 8 M and wave 5 M only , this is right??
HAN, 16 Aug 2010hi guys, please tell me which is better? i8910 Omnia HD? or s8500 wave?Galaxy S
