Rev, 28 May 2009To all those wanting to know about Battery. DO NOT BUY! On standby this phone struggles ... moreIt could be possible that you have some of the apps (or wifi and bluetooth) running in the background resulting to a very short battery life.
Anonymous, 28 May 2009ive read most of your comments but i cannot find battery life comments,,thanxTo all those wanting to know about Battery.
DO NOT BUY! On standby this phone struggles to last even 6-8 hours. I cannot stress how power hungry this phone is.
I was so appauled that I took the phone back to Orange.
Sorry guys I know this has probably distroyed some of the thoughts of buying it, but.. I'm just trying to be truthful.
Anonymous, 28 May 2009to all of you guys who are whining about the lack of fm transmitter on this phone i have only ... moreokay, what's ur address???
@anonymous us@H
have you seen i8910 in our country? where and howmuch?
as long as
good
camera,
gps,
mp3 sound quality,
stunning 3.7 AMOLED display..
i can live that. .
haha
i love omniaHD..
thats all
to all of you guys who are whining about the lack of fm transmitter on this phone i have only one suggestion:
buy an fm transmitter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you can buy this kind of device that can connect to a 3.5 mm jack just like in the omnia hd since it features 3.5 mm jack.
it will do the job especially if you are in the car.
i have bought one and it works!!!
it comes from different sizes and design. choose only that's best for your omnia.
problem solved for you guys!!! stop complaining where actually there is always a solution to a problem!
if you don't have it in your country. come in the philippines and i'll buy you one
ive read most of your comments but i cannot find battery life comments,,thanx
you want FM transmitter? you can stick it (this is NOT the FM radio, is a sort of a little radio emitting station) where the sun don't shine
Do you think it will be possible with a new firmware version to update the audio codec, to fix the AMR codec, in the future???????????????????

aclaracion: In the forum comment that "Of course the CPU is not ARM9 as shown (the program is old and probably does not know newer CPUs) but the difference in estimated CPU clock frequencies is noticeable..."
gsmarena: Omnia HD Tech Specs:
ARM Cortex-A8 600 MHz processor
my-symbian.com/forum review: screenshot from JBenchmark ACE test that checks CPU type and frequency:

Kam, 27 May 2009Hi All, I have been waiting a long time for this phone to be released and as I at the end of m... moreBecause it is not "REALLY" out yet

It's also good to hear the you can download apps for the i8910 from the new Nokia OVI store. Although this has not been officially confirmed.....I can't wait to use the sprit level to see if everythings level!!!! ;O)
Hi All, I have been waiting a long time for this phone to be released and as I at the end of my contract with my current provider, I had no issue with moving away and port my number across for this phone. It is absolutly lovely and well worth the wait....I've been looking at and researching loads phones in the meantime, like the Iphone, Diamond Touch2 and Arena. None came close as far spec are concerned.....This is a multi-media tour de force by Samsung....and before I sound like a "Samsungnite", this is the first Samsung phone I have owned.
My previous phone, the N95 8GB has served me well and this, for me is it's true successor. Not even the N97 is the jump that I would have expected from Nokia. If it was then I it would hve been the Nokia for me. And as the i8910 uses the S60 platform it so easy to get around the phone/
I won't go into detail but the UI, feature set, build quality are in my "limited" opinion superb. I won't even talk about the HD video, huge 3.7 inch AMOLED screen or the camera....It really is the ONLY complete convergence package out there....Yes it's largish but if you want all this in a phone then put up and shut up and to be quite frank The N95 feels a bit awkward to hold just after week....weird!!!!
Some people slate Symbian, but it really is a true open ended platform. Others appear open but control is at the heart of alot of platforms out there too. Remember who actually owns them. Please note that I am not a conspiracy theorist, well not that much ;O).
If the features and spec float your boat then this IS the phone for you! but then if not, there's always other options out there, and good ones at that.
One thing concerns me about, why are there NO up to date reviews out there on the interweb??????? For a phone that has been harped on about on about for ages on all the relevant sites. This is very disappointing :(
Hope y'all find this helpful :)
Kam
