i'm back from orange-when i was buying the phone, seller said to me -14 days money back guarantie.I will put my life for it.They said to me-no money back guarantie.WTF i have to keep this piece of crap :-(
Got call from samsung as well-they have tested opera mini 8.65 on their handset and is working completely perfect.Orange has faked up that phone.I still can't send text messages :-( i'm calling to orange 4th time :-(
just arrived!!! first impressions are good. For those of you who have commented on the size, of course its pretty large, you r not gna get everything this baby has in a matchbox!!! but it is nothing like '...a brick...', its actually suprisingly light and fits easily into one hand. The construction doesnt feel as high quality as the iphone but never the less, a great looking phone.
What is the point of being able to record in HD video but to have only really crappy sound recorded???
Really. Think about it. Wow, I got this HD video that can play in my $2000 HD LCD screen, but can you hear the sounds that are coming through my 9.1 sound system. What is that??? Delete.
I have a chance to test the T929 Memoir 8 Megapixel camera. It's great for picture, but the sound is so terrible that any video recorded can be deleted for the waste of the sound quality.
Overall, the Omnia i900 can still do the job with a 5.0 Megapixel camera. The upcoming new iPhone will get a 3 Megapixel camera. And without WinMo settings capability, this "HD" version 0.5 is a no go.
does it hv an fm transmeter....i though it did . but now gsm arena does 'nt hv it on its spec....can u guys let me no if it has it....thanks...
on some samsung mobiles is written:(made by samsung)
are those phones made in korea?
Phil, 22 May 2009All videos have been deleted.
One thing I forgot to mention was the quality of the call aud... moreactually there are alot people saying that the call quality is not bad.
PhoneArena (the on who said that the call quality sucks) has a prototype unit just like in the 2nd preview of GSM arena
All videos have been deleted.
One thing I forgot to mention was the quality of the call audio which is fine for me - I certainly can't find fault with it.
There's orange branding on the back of the phone too which spoils the aesthetics a bit. I personally wish they wouldn't do this (O2 don't) but some people might not be too bothered by it.

Is it true Orange have deleted all the Pre-installed Video demos off the phone? I was looking forward to watching those! Anyone know anywhere where these videos can be downloaded?
I got my phone yesterday from Orange.co.uk, despite the misgivings I had. First impressions are great. I haven't had a great deal of time to play with it but so far so good. The screen is superb though bright with excellent clarity and a joy to look at. It's also a joy to use. The touchscreen is very responsive and even small buttons on web pages are pressed with surprising accuracy. No problems in that department at all and I can type at quite a speed too and the only mistakes are my own for not hitting the key properly.
I've had no problem accessing the internet and pages load up pretty quickly with 3G and even faster with WiFi. Emails are easy to set up and I've had no problem receiving or viewing them. I've downloaded Google Maps and the GPS is first rate and locates my position with pinpoint accuracy - I'm really suprised how accurate it is (I think it said accurate within 5 metres but I may be wrong).
I've taken a few videos in HD format and the picture is great. The sound though is a problem if there's too much going on, this is the only disappointment with the phone so far (it still came as a disappointment even though I was expecting the sound to be cr@p).
One last thing, the battery cover is pretty secure and needs quite a bit of force to release it, so that's not really a worry. It was really easy to get off when the battery was out, but with the battery in it's fine.
I haven't tried installing apps yet, not even looked for any.
I'll post more when I get a chance but so far I love it. If Samsung would sort out the audio I'd love it even more!
I'm right know heading to orange.Text messages are not working-this phone is dissapointment after dissapointment. Will post results later on.

WHAT AN UGLY LOOKING THING... morenot ugly at all, was at Orange 30 minutes ago and had dummy Omnia HD in my hands - very nice phone and not big at all as someone said here earlier, it easy fits into my hand and I can easily use it with one hand.
Ok, I'm a tall guy so my fingers are long as well:)
But anyway, it's not so big as I imagined it, nice and easy fits to my hand or back pocket:)

This is his last day.
some questions for owners:
Is the LED (easily) usable as a flashlight?
How quickly is the camera ready for taking a picture? And how do you start it?
some general questions:
Is there a manual available for download?
Is it possible to play the tons of "old school" java games out there that rely on a joystick or direction keys? Like maybe with a virtual keypad on the bottom of the screen with the game in 320x240 on the top of the screen?
