Pretty excited, from samsung:
"Please be advised that the SGH-I8910 HD will be released in South Africa in June"

it's a great looking phone, good processor, good graphics, good camera, pretty much good everythng!

It has a capacitive screen, which is what the Iphone has (therefore is able to provide multitouch)

I have a Pixon which is great, but its size is for me the max for a phone. So even if Omnia HD is super great and i would like to buy it, its enormous size is just too much. I suppose in a year they will launch the same half the size.

Anonymous, 08 May 2009Ive seen a lot of video demo of the Omnia HD. And it seems the capacitive display wasn't as go... moreYes, i think so. Look at the video on youtube, this phone is a kind of slow!! And the bright is not so clear... Too big screen. Im really dissapointed with this phone. I'd rather go for The Idou... Yes it's the monster..!

honestly, I don't understand you guys who say that WM is better than Symbian, I hate WM, it's so unfriendly to the user, so stupid I would say... And on the contrary Symbian is very friendly UI and esay to use, same as iPhone... WM sucks, would never again buy any mobile with WM, unless WM would change everything and start create WM almost from scratch:)

Kaggos, 08 May 2009Why Samsung chooses to change OS to symbian for such a beautiful phone? Since omnia was on Win... morei m a wm user too. wm is much more smarter than symbian but it sucks in colours. this is a HD phone so its screen must be sexy n pretty. anyway i also wont chg my old omnia since this is a symbian any symbian didnt as smart at wm.

Here is the link for the translated version of Omnia HD review after 10 days of use from the HD blog Italy. It emphasized that the back cover is unlikely to open accidentally. Also, call audio is good and very clean. These 2 points are contrary to the review of Phonearena.

Why Samsung chooses to change OS to symbian for such a beautiful phone? Since omnia was on Windows, just continue with that...I was thinking of getting Omnia HD but with Symbian I will just pass...

I just can't wait to put my hands on this device. I hope Vodafone will launch it in Romania pretty soon. Yet, my concern is its bad quality sound during calls, as phonearena and others mentioned. Should we ignore it for all the other features and not see the basic function of a phone - to talk and hear ? What do you think ?
