Anonymous, 02 Apr 2009what do you? i says there that it has tv-out!not really, it says it can connect to compatible lcd tv (which have the upnp technology), or conect it to a ps3 or xbox 360 conected to a tv, but omnia hd dosn´t have a tv-ou or hdmi-out,,,
600 MHZ, this sound good, I think the Sony Ericsson Idou will have more than 600 MHZ. This phone is good, has a big internal memory.
i read a review today at allaboutsymbian (part2) and they said it dosn´t use hdmi neither tv-out, it only uses wifi to connect with compatible lcds,,, what a waste!
You can totally msg with out looking with a touch screen phone it just takes skill. I have the current omnia and i can write a msg with out looking at the screen. it just takes practice like learning to touch type. Good thing about the omnia is you have the choice of qwerty, phone pad or hand writing recognition. I have mine on phone pad i find it much easier to write a msg. QWERTY on a phone is hard to use the buttons are too small and i am clumsy. the HD omnia sounds great. talk about and upgrade. in my opinion this phone just about sh*ts all over every other phone.
VampirDre, 01 Apr 2009Samsung has no Proximity Sensor, no UPnP, no qwerty keyboard which is a must for games this is... morewhat the hell are you talking about?
-it has proximity sensor
-you can really see a difference between 5mp and 8mp
-OmniaHD has OLED screen 3.7"
-this is not a gaming device! but its capable. why dont you buy a psp or ds?
-atleast it can record an hd, n97? just like my n82 (with touchscreen) so where the upgrade in there?
-2000$ for n97? are you crazy? with that kind of specs?
-nokia cuts many jobs.
Anonymous, 01 Apr 2009it,s a all in 1 fone u got evething dat u need on it. good job samsung.u da best branb ever.so you dont need a keypad or keyboard then? really!!!
maybe we should compare the speed at which full touch screen users and keypad/keyboard users can text, email and net search at! cause no matter which way you look at it, it's slow using full touch!
you also have to look at the screen the entire time you're typing anything whereas on a keypad/keyboard you can do it blindfolded!
your spelling needs looking at (using a full touch screen are we?! hitting wrong buttons!?)
Does This Phone having Conversion Recording features like in Nokia?
it,s a all in 1 fone u got evething dat u need on it. good job samsung.u da best branb ever.
Plane, 01 Apr 2009Is this phone Quadband? or Tri?quadband for normal talking but only triband for 3G use so far according to the SPECIFICATIONS
Samsung has no Proximity Sensor, no UPnP, no qwerty keyboard which is a must for games this is why Xbox and ps3 don’t have touch screen remotes lol, no 32 gig memory only 8 GB or 16 GB, only a HDMI input for “HD” on a small screen phone where you cant even view the big screen because you will still have to connect it or buy a big screen TV. For now I will still go buy my Nokia N97 even if it cost $1000 or $2000 and than you wonder why they want to put S60 OS on the Samsung Omnia HD maybe ill buy the next Samsung if they incorporate that mini projector. Who needs 8 mega pixels when after 5mp your eye can’t tell the difference? Samsung is big: Revenue▲$174.2 billion (2007)Net income▲$13.9 billion(2007)Total assets▲ $302.9 billion(2007)the second largest mobile phone maker but in 08 and 09 they are loosing a lot of money because of their management wont research what people want in a product and all they know is to copy other companies like HTC HD lol. As for apples they are getting rotten if they had the next I phone they should have released it by now. NOKIA=#1

--"In 1995, it(Samsung) built its first liquid-crystal display screen. Ten years later, Samsung grew to be the world's largest manufacturer of liquid-crystal display panels. Sony, which had not invested in LCDs, contacted Samsung to cooperate. In 2006, S-LCD was established as a joint venture between Samsung and Sony in order to provide a stable supply of LCD panels for both manufacturers."---
Here is another extract from koreatimes:
--"LG Display's key clients are Japan's Panasonic, Apple and Chinese TV makers, while Samsung supplies Sony and Dell."--
here is more:
--"“All the LCD panels that Sony is using are designed and manufactured by Samsung,” Kris Lee, general manager of Samsung’s consumer electronics division in the Middle East said."--
You are messing it up. Samsung makes the panels at S-LCD and then it goes to Sony and Samsung separetly where they incorporate their own technology (back lighting, contrast ratio etc) for the final product.
This is not the right forum to talk about Tvs.
