Have a read of this.
Looks like it is a strong possibility that the SGS may very well get 2.4 Ice cream sandwich.
All the best.
Hey frnds...it is a global problem that we face on our mobiles is the battery timings.
The more heavy is the hardware and software ov the mobile it uses more battery..
I read in a news paper that a new technology which would be called (NANO BATTERY TECHNOLOGY) This unique technology is so amazing that once u have charged ur battery u wont hav to recharge it again fr couple ov months that would be cool and useful fr mobiles running such as android symbian and ios software ..i hope it would be relased soon.
im using samsung i9000.. just wanna ask you guys if i could use the battery of i9003? hope u could give me some advice.. thanks...
AnonD-7446, 24 Jun 2011The battery lasts almost 1.5 to 2 times than d sgs running 2.2 & so as the speed :)Do you mean that the battery life in android 2.3.3 is much better than android 2.2
The best android based device and proberbly the best smartphone of it's time to release. Why? Well I dont want to go and compare with nasty and cheap spec rivals like se xperia or htc desire but the iphone 4 since what I belive is that iphone 4 is the only match for the gt 9000.
# 1 - both device has quite neat 1ghz cpu but samsung pull ahead with its sgx 540 gpu which is faster than iphone 4's sgx 530
#2 -dispite having a high res retina display ,iphone 4's 3.5 LCD couldnt stay head to head with super amoled 4 inchs belongs to galaxy gt 9000. with infinty contrast ratio and the unmatched 180° viewing angle , the galaxy s gt 9000 is the winner.
#3- who says samsung isnt creative ? Samsung did kick their ass hard with swape typing and touch wiz 3.
#4- many users are running gingerbread 2.3 in their gt 9000. Meaning samsung kept their promise and enabled many features for instance flash player support for browsers . Lol.. and here I dont want to drag iphone .... Beacuse u know why . Flash will always remain ios users dream.
#5 - weight less then iphone yet bigger screen .
#6 - dosnt have gps, network issue like those iphone 4.
#7 - play better games hence the faster gpu and bigger screen .
#8 - samsung gt 9000 is a media beast, it plays anything, any format , any media extension u through in it but only 1080p. It is a certified divx device, and can play extremely compress mkv files too. And iphone ? Naah, though it plays 720p smooth but lacks those media formats of galaxy gt 9000.
...... I could write more differences but I leave it to you and it is also upto you guys to judge which is the best. but I assure you, those comparison are 100% correct as I own both iphone 4 and glaxy gt I 9000. Cheers....:)
I am running Ficeto's 2.3.4. base ROM. blazing fast.
My launchere is SPB Shell 3D which is fantastic.
16GB internal and 32 GB micro card =Total 48 GB space.

Finally decided upon the 9000,sacrificed my p500. But i am glad i did not decide on the iphone. Mine came with 2.2 loaded. Cam is fam and so is the ui much responsive with the 1.1 ghz. And the mem avail is 13 gb. Pretty much for a lifetime. Dunno wat am i gonna do wit my notbook now.
[deleted post]definitely, yes. I have been using 1650 mAh, 3.7 volts which is the battery for 9003 and SGS 2. It lasts longer of course( 2days of heavy use).

hi guys...android 2.3.3 is it official for samsung galaxy S....I mean is it released by samsung developers or what...
nasty, 23 Jun 2011Thanks very one... But then why Samsung saying Official upgrade would take time to come?I honestly don't know about the "delay" that they've said...Android 2.3.3 has been released in a lot of regions as you will see in samfirmware or xda-developers. In fact, my region is one of the last ones to get an update but we already have it. Maybe they are just too dumb to look around and do a proper job? A lot of people (including myself) have a lot of complaint with the customer service being provided by Samsung all around the world. Also, maybe your phone is on contract like our US counterparts? The delay with these as just staggering and mind blowing even. As a side comment, the upgrade (for my phone) actually contained the flash player - which was later updated automatically by Android Market. Also, I manually flash firmwares to my phone so I don't know what happens with a Kies update(I am actually running Android 2.3.4 right now). As one of the members here said, try typing flash player in the market - I've checked it and the app appears in my phone. I hope your problem gets resolved ASAP. Another possible option is to look for a direct download link for the apk file - you can just manually install this by opening it in your phone (in the same way that you run executables in computers). This is of course assuming that you are on Android 2.2 or higher.
