Anonymous, 05 May 2011There are tons of ways you can go for Gingerbread RIGHT NOW. I've got mine for almost a month.... more Yeah, you're right. Many people have flashed their phones with the leaked Gingerbread. I myself am running on Darky's ROM 9.5 Extreme Edition.
However, I didn't mention that in the comparison because many people are not comfortable flashing their phones.
All the best.

should i buy this samsung galaxy tab or samsung galaxy s ?
i really love the super big screen but it's hard to carry around..that's my only problem with galaxy tab (although i think the galaxy s screen is really not that small). as for galaxy s, the memory's smaller and the battery depletes faster.
another question .. as for the downloadable applications, are they EXACTLY the same for both phones?

Fickie, 04 May 2011Hi Guys
You people seem to know a lot. I am undecided between the Galaxy and the N8??? Whic... more I own both the N8 and the SGS.
The N8 is a solidly built phone with HDMI out, USB on the go and a 12 Mega pixel camera with Xenon flash. It also comes with 16 GB of internal storage ( there is also a 32 GB version available ) plus an SD slot for a further 32 GB of storage.
However, it runs on Symbian OS which will be discontinued by the start of next year when the new Nokia / WP7 phones are released. Nokia have promised to continue support for Symbian for the next 18 months to 2 years. Symbian Anna ( formerly known as PR 2.0 ) will start rolling out over the next couple of months or so, and there are rumours of a PR 3.0 being released too by the end of the year.
The SGS is a decent enough Android phone and is very fast and responsive when updated to 2.2.1. The screen is nice and big at 4" and colour reproduction is crisp and vibrant.
There is the promise of Gingerbread being released for the SGS quite soon ( it was actually released at the end of April, but was pulled by Google on the same day ), but that will probably be the last update the SGS will get.
So, if you are looking for a solid phone with a brilliant camera and are not really bothered about " apps " then go for the N8.
If you want a phone with plenty of " apps " then the SGS is for you.
Hope that helps.
