I also said the AMOLED on N8 can in no way be considered bad. In fact it did come third in GSM Arena comparison.
Too complex for you?

this n8 guys r so blind that if their n8 restarts they will say "no other phone has the ability of restarting automatically.see my n8 is the best!"hahahaha

For your information the screen on N8 looks great. Games also run smoother than on Galaxy S.
Anonymous, 16 Dec 2010DLNA is better than HDMI, and you must have the battery-charger connected even when using HDMI... moreThe only reasons to buy N8 seems to be if you want to take "good" pictures, but videos are not that good, or if you want to watch movies from an external usb on a TV using HDMI, because only 360x640 makes watching movies on N8 itself a very unpleasant experience, and even editing documents or typing any text or actually doing anything on N8 itself is a real unpleasant pain. N8 may only be used as a "connector" between usb-drive and a TV, or as a camera for taking pictures. But if taking pictures is what you really want to do then there is a better option in buying a dedicated real camera, and for watching movies on a TV you do not need to use a N8, and for phonecalls and editing documents and playing games and... then you should buy an Android or IPhone4.
updated to froyo...!!! bt when it was on 2.1 it nevr had any issues...bt after upgradin it...it has started to freez lot more often...any help guys... :-(
DLNA is better than HDMI, and you must have the battery-charger connected even when using HDMI. Most modern TVs support DLNA, and if you can bring the N8 HDMI-cable in your backpack, along with USB-to-GO-cable, then you just as easily could bring a dongle.
Some Androids have HDMI so there is no reason to buy a N8 for this feature.
N8 is a typical "Jack of all trades, but master of none"
The phone is great.it does every thing you ned it to do.it has a good size screen its fast and the screen is scratch proof what more can you want.and i say yet again android market, makes the phone.android is getting more popular than apples version.time for a change.

And what is wrong with your Bravia? Are you telling me it doesn't have a Type A HDMI connector?
Sails, 16 Dec 2010DLNA better than HDMI? You don't know what you are talking about. Have you actually used DLNA?... moreI have a sony Bravia LCD at my place, the HDMI cable given with N8 doesnt fit.
There are many compatability situations u ll face, i believe u watch lot of Bond movies... Fancy sun glasses with cam, Cars, laser watch... LOL
If u think N8 is wonderful for u, good for u...
Hotels cant keep a HDMI enabled LCDs for u or neither DLNA enabled LCDs... Hope u got my point
I had the great misfortune of trying to install a cracked version of a navigation program to my neighbors iphone 3GS.
iphone is total crap. SGS kicks the iphones butt, both 3GS and iphone 4. Screen is much better and larger. Has removable memory card and you can mount both drives via the USB. iphone makes you go thru iTunes.
I would never pay double for an iphone. What kind of fool would?
Sails, 16 Dec 2010DLNA better than HDMI? You don't know what you are talking about. Have you actually used DLNA?... moreIn order to use DLNA the TV must also be DLNA compliant and have dongle to receive DLNA.
How many hotels rooms have that? my guess...NONE!!!

-Almost every multimedia device has HDMI these daya, very few have DLNA
-DLNA uses huge amount of processing power and kills the battery
-DLNA is software only. It was easily hacked to N900 for example.
Have you actually tried to stream a 2h HD movie from your Galaxy S using DLNA? Not a pleasant experience and the battery is dead well before the movie ends. N8 handles this easily through HDMI.
Here is one of my favorite use cases: Have your movie collection on external USB drive. When taking a trip hook the USB drive and the hotel room TV to N8. Watch what you want. How would you accomplish this on Galaxy S?
