Anonymous, 03 Dec 20101.5.3 and after .3 i dont remember :)Can you tell the exact?
Cos mine is 220.127.116.1103.100
but can't see firmware (froyo) upgrade available..
Am a very happy owner of a Samsung Wave S8500.
Have just been offerd a clean swap to a i9000 Galaxy S in mint condition, even newer than my Wave. Am considering it.
The thing is... I´m som god damn pleased with my Wave.
The size is perfect.
The metal-body is nicer then the plastic Galaxy.
And it´s got the good flash for cam & video.
Bada... is actually an excellent OS. Fast and never any lag, and I dont And nice updates on the way.
Have never tried Android. Tested a friends Galaxy and found Android messy and laggy in comparison to the Wave´s handling.
Ofcourse the 4" display and better browser has it´s advantages.
Please motivate me.
Why should I change to the Galaxy.
Anonymous, 03 Dec 2010Very good, but what is your kies version number?1.5.3 and after .3 i dont remember :)
the lack of customer support has been the number one issue for samsung, its next to not getting any support at all.
galaxy s is an overpriced overrated phone, plastic casing etc. the price is too much to pay even with it's "screen advantage" over the iphone. after upgrading to froyo, a friend's galaxy just went dead. samsung technicians did not know what to do with it. now my friend is forced to bring his phone to greenhills. really not worth it.
Naga, 03 Dec 2010Connected to KIES yest and got updated to Froyo.Very good,
but what is your kies version number?
I recently bought Samsung Galaxy S, however have been getting complaints from receipients of my calls that voice clarity is very poor. Infact no. of times voice quality is so poor that I have to repeat multiple times whatever I am saying. I have been advised that change of Motherboard would help sort out this issue.
Can someone help me with this concern?
Anonymous, 02 Dec 2010Hi, anyone can help ? After upgraded to froyo, i am having issue on acessing my Android Marke... moreyou have to go to your settings and allow background data and auto syncing i had the same problem.
great improvement after the update; we received in Romania last week; the phone is faster now; no lag; no any other complain now; there is one...one those who bought it from Vodafone and Orange could update their mobiles; in 2 weeks the situation will balance with the other phones; it's look like everything is under control!
Wow, my Froyo SGS runs circles around my friends iphone4. hahah He is returning it and getting an SGS.
[deleted post]nt really pal...still SGS market is preety hot...i got it from mahims hot spot outlet one week back for 27,600 rs. chekd it all around mumbai...this was d cheapest offer...u can get it on ebay.in as well...hope this will help :-)
After I updated to Froyo, I rooted my phone using Z4root and ran OCLF just like all the others did and my latest Quadrant Score is 1990. So to all those who are complaining of the slow performance, I suggest you do the same. My SGS is fast now.
when samsung will unlock to 512mb ram..now it is 304 total and 264 usage remain free ram is very less...
this is starting to reaaalllyyy annoy me!! COME ON SAMSUNG!! im sick of waiting!!
Hi, anyone can help ?
After upgraded to froyo, i am having issue on acessing my Android Market, a pop up box "An error has occurred, Please try again later"
snappier processor than the x10 camera is superb for a 5megapix. screen is much vibrant, you will enjoy using this android based unit. and a much better texting and email experience guaranteed. the engineers did their homework well and enhanced the system.
Chichu , 02 Dec 2010So after lag fix it shows great performance??wat about battery life? Also nexus one i think its... moreThere is no lag on xwjpa, lagfix is only "good" if you want an irrelevant high quadrant-score.
