Why a software update on your iPhone 4 won't fix the reception problem?
It's a design flaw and the only way to fix it would be a total recall!

and it is nothing compared to Iphone.
Most of the people are with iphone but they don't know that, it is a very normal phone... the concept of the iphone was injected in the mind of people as if it is " something " they are wrong. it is just a stereotype to people.
please open ur eyes wide.
I totally agreed with Rosewood. Galaxy S is a piece of junk. The biggest OMG i had for latter so far is the video file format is still using the oldest and most primitive 3GP video format. Even my TV media centre cannot reconize the file.
VoIP is good expecially when travelling oversea. Sit on any hotspot place and you can start calling home at no extra charges via Skype. Too bad, skype is not readily available in Android market yet.

The reason is when you start buying an iPhone, I can assure you your next phone will be iPhone too! I can tell you because I have 3SG, Galaxy S and IPhone 4. The iPhone virus is too dangerous. Once it is inside your blood, you can never divert to other phone!!! No phone out there can give you an overall experience of an iPhone.

Not to mention the ease of transferring files without using any bundled software like Kies is definitely the plus points. Having said all that, there are simply too many essential downside that one must overlook before consider to but one.
- apps in android market is nothing compare to apple's application store
- VoIP services like Skype is not readily in the Android Market
- WiFi not as stable and fast compare to iPhone 4
- bulky and "cheap" build quality compare to iPhone.
- poor battery life
- upgrade to android 2.2 froyo keeps defer. Latest news is in October
- And the list continue...
In my point of view, the Galaxy S is the best Android smart phone available in the market as of now.
Major Plus points:
* Super AMOLED Screen - The screen is just too good to be true. No other display can boast this level of detail and clarity (even in direct sunlight). The screen resolution and clarity is something that we cannot afford to compromise. HD movies provide a crisp viewing experience.
* Multitasking with 1GHz Processor - The ARM Cortex 1GHz processor is much better than the Hummingbird 1GHz found in many mobile. It allows us to run multiple processor intensive applications side by side - a key feature since everything finally comes down to raw speed and level of response.
* Ample Memory - Apart from 512 MB RAM, Galaxy puts in another 2GB ROM. This coupled with the internal memory of 16GB and an additional external memory of 32GB, we are literally having very less restrictions. We are happy to install lots of apps in the phone and need not cry like other mobile phone users regarding low phone memory.
Only feature which we feel is missing is LED Flash for the camera. But thats ok, we cant expect to have everything!!!
Can't wait to upgrade to Android 2.2 (Froyo). Considering all the performance improvements (based on Samsung website), it should really be very very fast on the exceptional Galaxy S hardware.
Lets wait and watch!
One month a go, I thought of upgrading my existing iphone 3GS to either Galaxy S or iphone 4. In order to break away from the control freak(apple), I decided to go for Galaxy S but only end up giving the phone to my wife(whom has no experience whatsover about smartphone). I later find myself buyer a new iphone 4 instead with the intention to sell off my 3GS. However my wife again requested my 3GS as her second phone. However after a month of using Galaxy S alongside my old 3GS, last night she told me she likes my iphone 4!!!. The moral of the story, don'y buy Galaxy S, even amatuer like my wife says it is a piece of junk!. Cannot calibrate to receive Yahoo mail, poor battery life, signal weak and many more...

I see that there are some very technically proficient people on this forum and they may have missed my query. So i post it again. The following is not a fault of my fone but seems to be design issues. The GalaxyS is the most advanced fone on the market BUT it has 2 fails. 1. Bmp images over about 10mb are not viewable and any Bmp of around 5mb while viewable they are not intelligently rerendered when zoomed so they they are crap. 2. Also in the android Word editor you cannot swipe characters and cut and paste. I am able to do all of the above on my 2 year old Omnia1 and also on my 5 year old Dopod. What gives?Does anyone know why? And if a android app is available please let me know which one and where to get it. I am extremely dissapointed in that the Galaxy S cannot handle BMP images.
Anonymous, 18 Sep 2010why do you need to view bmp images?
jpeg is much better not to mention the drastically lower ... moreI need .bmp files because when you zoom them (as i do on my 2 ytear old samsung WinMo Omnia1) they zoom to very high levels without loosing quality because the quality is built in, thats why they are larger files.
.Jpg are ok for just sending pics to freinds but they are "lossy" ie. they drop detail to get such small sized images. So i'd love to find the reason or better a work around Samsung/Android? have stopped providing what they gave 2 years ago. I especially like the big high quality screen but not if it can't view the detail of a .bmp.
Hi everyone I have a problem with my gps it gives my location like 200 meters away. Is there any firmware to solve this and how do I install it.
