I think the theme of the galaxy menu might be plating tricks on me a bit though haha. I find the retina display to be brighter and sharper but my galaxy contrast seem higher (better). The pixel density of galaxy is a bit rubbish because the resolution seem low for a screen this big. Not too bad I guess. Atleast it's more efficient and good enough for me. Do you use an iPhone on a regular basis? Just wondering.
And where do you live? And yeh I know. I've done business management at sheffiled university if you know where it's at. I know them well. Very friendly but you do get the occasional idiot.

Malik, 12 Sep 2010Very true apple does have samsung and LG components in them. But many american phones have for... moreGalaxy S has a 4” Super Amoled display of WVGA resolution (800 x 480 pixels), whilst the iPhone 4 has the Retina display , a 3.5” S-IPS LCD unit at 960 x 640 pixels. Both have support for up to 16M colours. The iPhone 4 is indisputably and stupendously sharp with pixel density unrivalled by any other phone whereas Galaxy with its WVGA resolution is pretty sharp too. Interestingly, there is also a school of thinking that the retina display (high pixel density) is a wee bit beyond a naked human eye’s comprehension and therefore it is futile. I prefer to distance myself from this squabble. Nonetheless, in my honest opinion, Galaxy’s colour schemes are brighter wherein I-Phone retina display is sharper.
I delayed responding to your poser since I did not want to get embroiled in that argument laced with verbal diarrhoea and nasty racist comments. Sickening and nauseating. Isn’t it? By the way, I work as a Bank Manager for my living, very close to your country, though UK is my abode. I am not British but let me assure you that majority of the English people are not racist but friendly and upright.
Those who are complaining about the poor battery life or slow speed might have not have updated their phone coz i was facing the same problems earlier but now everything is working fine.

HTC Desire with froyo and OpenDesire is still the best Android phone. OpenDesire fixes all connectionproblems, but it has no FM-radio but Galaxy S has only a useless MONO FM-radio and IPhone4 no FM-radio, and all my lokal FM-radiostations have Android-apps so I do not really need FM-radio. OpenDesire speeds up the stock Froyo.

Kristy, 15 Sep 2010Hey guys how do you root a galaxy s??Hi it is very easy you just add a file to the root of your internal memory card restart phone in recovery mode and choose install zip file and that's it look for supertorres76 on YouTube i have a video about lag fix the instructions are on a link in that video.
[deleted post]Hey IPhone 4. I think you are on the wrong page. You should be in Iphone 4 comments no samsung galaxy s :)
For anyone experiencing lag on this phone, download ryanZas one click lag fix (you will need about 800MB free data available on the phone)
1. When you load up the app, click the first option to 'root' the device. Power off the phone.
2. While the phone is switched off, hold down the top volume key, home button and power on button until the Samsung logo appears.
3. A screen will load with some text. Use the volume key to navigate down to the 'apply update.zip' option (or something like that) and press the home key to reboot the phone.
4. When the phone is restarted, go back to the one click lag fix app and apply the version 1 fix. If your phone has enough memory, this will do the trick. You may need to restart the phone again.
I tried this app and it worked a charm! My phone runs faster than ever before.
Hope this helps...
