galaxy, 08 Sep 2010Well if you take pictures in the dark why did you buy the galaxy and even the desire led flash... moreI do not need professional quality on my pictures, I just want to take pictures of my friends in the pub/bar or on some other evening activity.
I liked Galaxy S teoretical specs, mostly the large built in memory, but it did not live up to my expectations, but I hope Froyo will fix that.
Desire is a much better more usable phone for everyday-use for most users while Galaxy S is a "geek" phone, just like IPhone4, where teoretical specs is everything even though it can not really do anything more than for exampel HTC Desire.
galaxy, 08 Sep 2010Well explain to me why he bought it thenHe bought it because it is a good phone. I have nothing against him with buying the phone but then sell it away because he don't like it.
What I detest is fanboy trying to defend what they like by tweaking the truth. Truth is, LED/xenon flash is an important aspect, but fanboys like you just convinced yourself that it's not important.
This situation is very much like the iPhone without flash back then. I won't be surprised that you many of the SGS fanboy here actually bashed iPhone for not having a flash back then.
i am a faithful use of Samsung phones for the past years and to me it just SIMPLY THE BEST NO QUESTION NO COMPLAIN ,,

galaxy, 08 Sep 2010Well if you take pictures in the dark why did you buy the galaxy and even the desire led flash... moreFor god sake, TC is obviously not talking about professional shots down here. Having a LED flash is better than not having one. It is more convenient. You can just take casual shots with your friends. I don't think you will carry a bulky camera everywhere you go, right? A simple camera with an LED flash is enough for a dinner with your friends.
I can imagine that if SGS didn't have a camera in the first place, extremist like you will still say "I don't need it, I will bring my camera around. Cameras in phones are pointless."

Or like me use a real camera. I don't need a flash and my galaxy doesn't need froyo it is amazing already.
I think that, if you can, you should wait until Galaxy S has official Froyo update, because I think, hope, most of Galaxy S problems will be fixed with Froyo. If you want to install a lot of, (mostly pointless), apps from Android market then the small built in memory on Desire will be a problem because even with Froyo most apps still can not be installed on the external sd-card. I am still keeping my Galaxy S hoping Froyo will "fix it", but I will probably use Desire as my everyday-phone even if Froyo really fix all problems on Galaxy S.
Froyo will not give it a led-flash so taking pictutes in dark the dark will not be possible even after Froyo-update.
Anonymous, 08 Sep 2010Heya TC,
Thanks a lot for your response! How about the battery backup between the 2? I read... moreDesire had problems with short batterylife, but after the Froyo update this is not a big problem anymore. I have a new Desire with the new slcd-screen ans I have no problems with batterylife, I charge it only 1 time every night, but I am used to Nokias useless batterylife and Desrire has much longer batterylife than any nokia-phone.
Galaxy S is almost weightless so I can not feel it at all when I have it in my pocket, but it is very plastic and I am always afraid that I will damage it if I "bump" in to a table or... Desire is has the same weight as IPhone4 and Nokia N8, and it is no problem to have in my pocket, and I am nit afraid that I could accidently damage it.
galaxy, 07 Sep 2010Yet again total rubbish someone else who doesn't know how to use their phone, there was an upd... moreThe problem with Galaxy S is that it can not show my location using triangulation in the gsm-network, use a-gps. Samsung has not finished updating the software to Froyo so they can not send any update to the networks, so the problem is the sliw company Samsung. If I have to use a rubber case to hold Galaxy S, then it will not be better than IPhone4.

Thanks a lot for your response! How about the battery backup between the 2? I read in a few places that the Desire's lasts an entire day with difficulty. Could you let me know if that's true? How's the Galaxy's backup?
Also, is the differences in their weight felt a lot when kept in the pocket?
