For any one having lagj issues just upgrade to official samsung firmware JM1 throug kies. O did the same and lag has completely gone. For people with network branded handsets (JF3) you might haveut kies on test mode in order for it to detect the upgrade. Good luck. If any thing lemme know

this phone is too expensive....it's made o cheap plastic...i've used one a coupple of days and i'm dissapointed...the screen does not worth 600 euros. Google Nexus, iphone 4 or htc desire are much better, even the old Htc HD2 it's more solid than this chinese crap.
Everyone is saying froyo is available through kies in uk but i fully reset my phone to get kies to work and all the update was was a firmware update no froyo that peed me off.

"AN UNKNOWN NUMBER of Samsung Galaxy S handsets could be reset back to their factory settings just by connecting them to a computer, the manufacturer has warned.
Samsung discovered that in limited circumstances connecting a Samsung Galaxy S device to a PC via Samsung's proprietary software program, Kies, can cause an auto-reset of the device.
"This only occurs if the Galaxy S device contains a file name extension longer than 16 characters," said a Samsung spokesperson. "The issue will be remedied immediately when the file is removed."
Samsung also said that it is working to provide a software upgrade that should be available before the end of August.
Executives at Apple HQ will no doubt smile when they hear that the Galaxy S is having problems, given that Samsung had been plastering adverts all over town mocking the Iphone 4's reception problems.
Ironically, wholesale data deletion on a Galaxy S handset is likely to cause users far more aggravation than dropped calls on the Iphone 4."
