Chala, 23 Jul 2010Hi everybody,
I have a problem. On my Galaxy S I cannot register the google account in orde... moreDo you have your SIM card in the phone? I have the same problem, but my SIM card is not inserted. I could register before a factory reset but then I had the SIM card inserted.
If this is the problem I think it is quite bad that they don't have a pop up telling them to insert the SIM card.

I bought this phone 3 days ago. I just want to say that it is indeed a great phone. Reception problems? Funny! Great reception and battery life. Sometimes there are few lags and that is almost the only problem i could see so far...
anyone is using 32GB SD card in your Galaxy S ? can we install new applications in SD Card?
a simply superb phone, been an iphone customer for more than two years and i have to say ive had no regrets about selling my iphone to get the galaxy
I have a problem. On my Galaxy S I cannot register the google account in order to use market, gmail application and even such a basic function as calendar application. It keeps infoming me that it cannot connect to the internet (and really the web traffic indication is completely dead). The same happens with wifi connection. At the same time internet is working perfectly on the phone and I registered my gmail account without problems in phone's e-mail application and it works perfectly. What kind of a smatphone is this if it registeres my account in one applicaton and does not connect for the same pupose in other app? My daughter has Moto Milestone with the same version of Android and is using the same netwok provider and has not this problem.
I am a new Android user and it is quite probable that I am missing something, but aren't these phones suposed to be user friendly and simple to operate at least at the basic level? I had been using Nokia phones for years and, yes, they are slower, not this modern, but one thing you have to admit - whats on the phone works and it does not take a masters degree in electronics to operate them.
I would appreciate help and guidance with this problem, otherwise it becomes almost useless.
Thanks in advance.
