I found this phone really amazing, but i has been little bit slower, I have only 8GB external and even only 2 GB used.
Please Any Idea,
Hi, just wanna know if it can also be upgraded if there's a new software version?
A really great phone, it would have been my choice if not the lack of a good camera, cause it's only 5 mp and doesn't have flash... Sorry, can't afford to downgrade... Other than that, superb phone!
I like, that it's one of the first android phones (afaik) that supports rSAP. Even as a heavy iPhone 3GS user, I can recommend this piece of hard- and software.
This is a excellent phone! Its light (which is why the back covers so thin) The screen is amazing (i work for carphone warehouse btw)The camera is crystal clear and defines everything really well, the colours are more lifelike than that on the desire. The sound quality through loudspeaker is excellent compared with the desires old style boombox noise. Video quality is ace, pity theres no flash tho. theres very little glare from the sun due to a layer of glass thats removed for the super amo led screen. Battery life beats the hd2 iphone and desire by a long shot, take about 5 proper charges to hold it tho. It very customisable and user friendly the touch wix UI is similar to the iphone, but more personalisable with home screens and widget........Fantastic all round.....Samsung have actuly impressed me for the first time ever! Im glad iphone 4 has signal issues or i wouldnt have discovered how amazing this device is!
hti, 18 Jul 2010Had mine for a week. Expectations were sky high after the review by GSM Arena. I'm liking the ... moreI used to have same issue, I used to charge the phone twice per day, but after a few days I noticed something else is eating my battery fast, not what it is in battery status info.
I have disabled 3g (witch I don't use it anyway), and bingo, battery is like 3-4 times better now.
Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010It's not that big for gods sake it has to house a 4 inch screen how do you think they will mak... moreNo, it's realy not that big!
It's only a fraction bigger than the Omnia II with it's 3.7" screen, wich in his turn is about the size of the iPhone with a 3,5" screen.
And I know what I'm talking about, because I've got both ;-)
Only the Galaxy S has just more actual visible/useable screen and less surrounding/framework around the screen.
By the way what are we talking about here:
only 0.3 of an inch !!
The major difference is that the Galaxy S is much thinner, georgious slim and sleek.
I love this phone more by the day I use it :-)
Just wanted to share my thoughts on the phone since i have now owned it a few days.
It is amazingly fast. The camera is fine even though im a photo-taking-junkie. Night time pictures are a small price to pay even though I got out often most everywhere i myself go is lit up and it captures pictures very well.
android market on tmobile is amazing and my 3g speeds running Opera mini are as fast if not faster than some laptops at the college with and without wifi access.
any questions on the phone in particular please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
i always spend weeks looking at a phone before i buy it so it gives me great joy to help someone else make a decision :)
Kath, 19 Jul 2010NO WAY too big. No way smaller is better. Just compare the Galaxy S to the little smaler Wav... moreIt's not that big for gods sake it has to house a 4 inch screen how do you think they will make it small with a 4 inch screen you prat

I'm not surprised about the battery life of I9000.
Contrary to know, technically android is the worst OS for mobile devices. Android uses Dalvik java virtual machine. Simply, a virtual machine simulates hardware and pretends like an interpreter. Programs aren't run directly. A virtual machine uses extra cpu power (which mean less battery life),ram and gives less performance.
Nokia's maemo is a debian based real OS. LiMo foundation is also but unfortunately its developers have taken off a lot goods of linux :(
officially got my galaxy s... so far have no issue on the antenna, speaker n browsing..very good phone n very reliable...
