phemark, 18 Jun 2010Hi, I've had this phone for a day now, and here is what i think.
I wont go into many detail... morebatterylife will be better after you fully charge and decharge it a few times.... should be 24hrs or atleast 15hrs of heavy usage... anyways
SEND IT BACK because you are suppose to have 512mb RAM only some beta models had 256!!
I got my Galaxy S yesterday. I'm very very impressed. I've been using a Samsung Omnia Pro so I know already how good OLED screens are, this one is better! Android is a huge huge leap from WiMo 6.5!
Very fast, very slick phone! It's really light and thin too!
Hi, I've had this phone for a day now, and here is what i think.
I wont go into many details on how good this phone is, everyone knows that, id rather say what problems i had with it, so could offer me a solution. First of all its battery life... I bought the phone, charged it, then used it non stop for ~4-5h (wireless, bluetooth, downloading, music, apps etc., everything on), and it died after 4-5h... I must say i expected more... Will battery life improve after first charge, or is it everything it can do while heavily using?
Second, how to kill apps when exiting them. I have app killer app, but i dont want to use it every time i exit an app, ready anoing and slows handset down.
Speaking of slowing down, its really fast once you start the phone, but when you open more apps, it starts to lag a bit (especially if downloading via wifi or bluetooth, and playing 720p video), killing apps help, but again, i dont want to kill apps everytime i close something.
Finally, dont take me wrong, i love this phone (screen is just gorgeous, fast if not multitasking heavily, HD video recording very good (still images not as good or my hands are shaky:), still waiting for 2.2 update and havent explored android market almost at all yet)
If anyone has the same problems (battery life especially under heavy load), please let me know, so i would know that im not alone:) And could you confirm how much ram have you got? Because on this website it says 512 and i only have 256...
P.S. how to create folders inside meniu? i can create them on the desktop, but not in the meniu

The phone is smooth etc. doesnt come with much apps. no games as far as i can tell. looks nice yadda yadda and all the rest of it. Anonymous, 16 Jun 2010if cannot update to 2.2 or future os version, & only paid gps is the solution.....i'm not ... moresamsung galaxy S will definitely gets a froyo update..this is told by samsung officials.
Does anyone know if the galaxy s supports SAP? sim access profile i think it is. so it will work in my car.
Hi all. Just been to the O2 shop in edinburgh and picked up the shops june magazine. Looks like they will be stocking the galaxy s. It's TBC and 16gb version.
Well, initial thoughts are that the plastic on the back doesnt instill confidence. It IS light weight but it does feel good in the hands. I'm gonna enjoy playing with it once it's fully charged. Adios
Even after its yesterdays launch in India, the retailers dont have ne clue about when the phone will be available for sale...
