i think omnia i buy not the ori device. becouse i check from samsung dealer they sad it make from Malaysia but it for filipine market .

hello DAVE... I mis interpret your query... here is a friendly advice... IF you have enough budget for your phone then go for HTC touch HD... but if your budget is for a phone with all the features... multimedia... camera... win mobile... then GO FOR OMNIA....
here's the reason why I would go for touch HD if I have enough BUDGET... because HTC has a big screen which means more space for viewing your documents and browsing the net.... standard... with dedicated graphic memory and the screen is VGA... which means more pixels.... more clarity.... text is more clear than QVGA...

OMNIA pros...
1. OMNIA name is short.... hehehhe
2. camera is very good
3. w/ built in memory
4. price is reasonable for specifications
5. CPU speed of OMNIA is higher by 100Mhz
touch HD pros
1. big screen which means more space for browsing, playing movies... etc...
2. vga screen which means more pixels and more clarity
3. UI of HTC is nice because of TOUCH FLOU technology
4. with 3D accelerator and dedicated memory for that BUT of course that will again consume energy which is one of the main concern in mobile technology.
CONS...
HTC touch HD is expensive.... i think around 300USD more than the OMNIA... and you need to buy memory card... which again cost you around 100USD for 16GB...
OMNIA..
screen is not standard... usb is proprietary not the mini USB standard....
OVERALL....
Both they are using win mobile OS... the UI of HTC you can install it also in OMNIA... because HTC is using only spb shell... but the widgets in OMNIA is not available for download which means you cannot install it in HTC... But for overall specs... IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH money.... if you are rich... then GO for HTC touch HD.... but if you want some PHONE with reasonable price with all the things that you require in a win mobile phone.... THEN I recommend this OMNIA they call...
or you can go for TOSHIBA G810 I used also very nice phone....

ah!... before you install those softwares.... read first the instructions.... because there are some compatibility issues... some for vga and some for qvga... OMNIA is qvga... biga.... biga.... hekhekhek.....
try spb shell v3.... its nice... very nice... search it in mininova.org

want to buy a new om, 23 Apr 2009tnx miss jin now i know wat to buy.. appreciate it.. but how come u had many prob with this ph... morebecausei have a high expectation for this phone thats why im having trouble with sofware anyway games themes are free to install and its easy...im having trouble upgrading my i900DXHK2/DZHK2 into DXIA ROM...im totally lost with the forum...

mccoy, 23 Apr 2009nope.... beam uses BT.... speaking of BLUETOOTH... has anybody out there used their omnia f... moreat first i thought it impossible to send file using bluetooth thats why i said it cannot transfer files using bluetooth but lately i know hwo to use it using the the beam file...it goes directly thru beam via bluetooth then viola u have been transfered....kong mali paki correct nalang mccoy...i know beam is different from bluetooth...

speaking of BLUETOOTH... has anybody out there used their omnia for voice dialling? actually I installed MS Voice Command.... but I can only active the voice command in my BT but still I need to speak on the phones mic... not the BT mic... is there any ohter software that can transfer the voice onto my BT? any help is apreciated....

by the way regarding ROMs... I bought my OMNIA here in middle east... can I install a ROM for South East Asian Countries made? because I read an article and it says that ROMS are made specifically for each country.....
