after ten months with this phone, it's still the biggest cpu on the market, and fastest too, i highly recommend it to those people who are interested, and also many firmware upgrade available for free, also higher battery capacity, now im using 2200mah battery
gives more talk and standby time.
a couple more questions...
nokia have always been good on the phonebook management...
does this phone still duplicate phone & sim contacts? or does it only show phonebook entries or sim entries?
oh & the alarm settings, does it still have those really boring ringtones eg. alarms that you can sleep through or something that will wake your neighbors?
what does Samsung proprietary connectivity port mean for usb?

I cant give you an... morethats some really advice for getting this phone but what about typing messages or chatting online on msn messenger or maybe (mxit) for south africans... ? eg. does it have a keypad or is it just the touch screen?
a couple more questions?
1. whats the sensitivity of the screen?
2. can one type other than with the touch screen?
3. ive always like the sent messages for sms's on nokia phones, has samsung got this option now?
4. video playback, whats it like? eg. 25fps or 30fps?

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2009go to settings... connection manager, and turn no wifithanks..i've done it already. it shows that the wifi was on...the network is available, but the problem is i cannot connect to any of the site even yahoo or google...more help please. its been 1 week already that im using this mobile but cannot use the wifi. the main reason why i bought this, is because of wifi...we have internet wifi connenction in our flat. the thing is the router was there and there is a password before you can connect to the network. i think that is the problem. thanks again...

1 download Port splitter.
2 install on phone.
3 open external gps in settings
4 set program port to COM3
5 set hardware to port COM9 Baud 9600
6 Open port splitter
7 set input port to COM3 (you may need to type this yourself)
8 set output to COM1
9 tap ADD
10 Start splitting
11 Open your sat nav and all should be working.
took a couple of minutes for the satallites to be found, but when theyve been found it works ace =]]

I cant give you an advice its your money and your choice but if you ask me, I would go with the Omnia. It does have more features like the divx read and xvid also a better camera it has 8 to 16 geg of internal mem. and on top of that its expendable to 32 gegs, the biggest diferecne here is the OS, other than that it has nice big screen and a sleek design.

It depends on what you want to do with the phone... if you just want a touch screen, and a phone that can play music good, then go for the NOKIA 5800, but if you want a phone that does that and more, choose the OMNIA

Hi to every1 who has a Samsung i900 Omnia. I am thinking of purchasing one but after reading the comments i have so far doesn't sound to good.
Am I looking at purchasing the wrong phone?
rock , 05 Apr 2009the good thing about this phone is ........ every thing and some feature are exception form al... moremy phone warns me just before battery dies. Forgot how because it has only been once, but it did.
