Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970where did you get it from?? i have touchflow 2d/mannila 2d working on my omnia, and its fantastic. and it does have to be hacked to work with the omnia! as its designed for htc......

On the Omnia go to Menu --> Programs --> Internet Sharing; choose USB or Bluetooth, however you're connecting your phone to your laptop, and hit connect, instant internet connection with no need to install ANYTHING onto your PC, BRILLIANT! Like everything else on this incredible pocket PC!

my omnia cant play videos in .avi format! it supposed to support divx! should i download any codecs?

Hi
nothing works dead icons and black background
i install themes whole night with no success
i installed spb shell 2.1 it works fine
after this i copy zip file on pc unzip it and overwrite files in program file/spb folder .i gave soft reset and spb hangs one menu with 4 icons at bottom with black background once you clicked them nothing happened after you have to remove spb shell bring omnia back to life.I simply dont understand how people are lying these themes are working . i am very frustrated is this some issue with rom as i am using default omnia rom with wm6.1 240X400.
please reply and end this dissappointment

Its a reasonable phone but if you have been used to voice dialing as in the n95 it will seem a bit of a come down.If like me you have to wear glasses for reading you will find the standard texting pretty hard work as even on largest font you will still find it hard to read when composing your texts.The sound is also bit quiet for my liking as far as ringtones and speaker phone is concerned.Battery life is also a bit short when you take a few calls and use any of the many aplications.Having had my litle moan about several of this phones faults i still keep it as my second phone to my n95 which only shares the poor battery life.

HOW TO MAKE BATTERY WORK LONGER
back to school physics - more consumption, less time.
one big eater is display brightness and working time
personally i did:
1. Settings => System => Backlight: Manual adjustment (bright day outdoors temporarily back: Auto or you just cant use phone normally)
2. Settings => System => Power
2.1 => On battery power => a) 1 min b) mainly phone using: 10 sec, internet-etc: more?
2.2 => Calling: 10 sec
2.3 => Power Save : Enable
2.4 => WiFi: Enable
Some values could be even default (PowerSave and WiFi), but worth checking out
pushing once On-Off, screen switches off, what also consumes less energy
i dont call very much, maybe 10 min/day, before battery works about 2-3 days, after all this "mess" 6 days!

first was unable to synchronize with win vista, nobody knew wh... moreyou know maybe you just dont know how to use it because i seem to have no problem i mean helllo?
it comes with a freakin stylus, texting is fine,
if you were looking for something like the Iphone you wasted your time as the omnia is in a class of its own. besides the touch features are different
maybe your just not that smart...

I love my omnia its great tho im just curious as to how you actaully install DivX or whatever its called, I have not had the time to figure it out and was wondering if someone ould please help me seeing as I dont want to f**k it up or any of the settings im not supposed to touch.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
