a songhay, 03 Feb 2009i have download the latest rom on modaco i900DXIA2_DZIA2 it come in 3 files how do i install i... moreok, its a little complicated for a newbie! basicly you need to use grandprix, but first click on part 1 and unarchive the rar. clicking part 1 also unarchives part 2 and 3. in there you will see bootloader, csc, phone, and pda. save them to a folder.
type in grandprix into the modaco search, while in secanys thread, there will be a link.
you need to be on a xp machine, once grandprix is running, you will see there is 5 boxes, bootloader, pda, csc, phone and multi language.
use the browse function to navigate to the folder and select the corresponding parts, leaving multi language empty.
connect the phone and soft reset, and click start when it detects the phone, you must have activesync and samsung modem installed.
please note these are very brief instructions, there are more detailed instruction found at modaco. and i believe some would have uploaded a exe which is easier to do if your unsure, also someone has created an app that creates an exe from the 4 parts.
but please search the threads at modaco, all the answers are there!!!

I am unable to synchronize my OMNIA to my PC (running windows XP). When I connect the phone to the PC, I get a message: USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED. I have installed the ActiveSync from the supplied CD. Pls advise.

I have communicated this thrice to Samsung Middle east but have received no response from them for almost a week now.
I took the phone to the Smsung Service Centre here in OMAN, but they are still unable to understand the cause of the problem
If anyone can help, pls. e-mail: melody@omantel.net.om

put it on a flat surface, stand above it, use something sharp that wont damage the screen, ie a pencil! and tap the + as light as you canfor it to register the tap, the lighter you press it the more sensative the screen will be!

Hi everyone, I’m currently experiencing a terrible problem with my Omnia. Since today, I’ve never had problems with it but this morning it restarted because I was using too many programs on the internet. But when I tried to punch in my password, the phone would no longer permit me. I have to wait for about 15 minutes before I actually have another chance to punch in my password and the phone would still be locked. The biggest hassle for me is that I have very important files in my phone which I have been working on for 2 months. I'm worried that maybe I won't be able to retrieve them if my phone is rebooted. Is anyone experiencing the same problem? Is there any way for me to still retrieve the files? If anyone has an answer please post it. It would be of great help.

Wow, after a year of dropped calls with the iPhone I'd had enough and went back to Verizon and saw this phone... Well I am amazed that Verizon sells this thing.. Sure it has features, but the basic ones dont work like easy navigation to contacts, the screen does not scroll very well if at all and the battery life is non-exsistent. This phone is incredibly frustrating to operate. If this is the industries answer to the iPhone, all I can say is.... hahahahahahahahahaha I am a Microsoft support provider and prefer windows devices, but they have a lot of work to do. This one is going back today
