raymond, 20 Nov 2008hi everyone,
i like to buy this phone, but my problem is the typing of messages and emails.... moreHi Raymond,
Maybe via Bluetooht. E.g. with a Logitech Dinovo keyboard.
I find typing via a touch screen not really handy, that is one of the reasons I will buy a Nokia E71.
i like to buy this phone, but my problem is the typing of messages and emails. would somebody tell me if there is an external keyboard available for this phone?
does anyone know when the north america version is gonna be available? the version with HSDPA 850 frequency??
Can I write SMS with the Handwriting recognition?
That would be great !
Ivan, 20 Nov 2008hi, i bought my Omnia here in Germany almost 4 weeks ago... And i gotta say that i'm quite imp... moreIvan thank u so much, your review is really good, simply u conclude some important point as a user of Omnia, and this is what I want, user must explain their phoen as uch as simple they cane, as they see the phone in real life.
So as u say Omnia has great screen resolution and good battery life, I have Nokia N95 but i want to change it because the battery life is WORST of ever!! and also web browsing in N95 is so bad and slow, so I see that usually Nokia users are transfering to Samsung mobiles!!
I have one more question to u, as u mansioned there is no bugs, I have read on some review thay say that sometimes it freezes, and this happens especially when u run 3 programs at the same time, does this happend to u?? or any freezing like that? and the speed of phone, is it faster than any nokia (p.s. N95).
Thank u so much again.
NESS, 20 Nov 2008FOR ALL "OMNIA" USERS:
Can any Omnia user explain about his/her phone, how it looks, how it... morehi, i bought my Omnia here in Germany almost 4 weeks ago... And i gotta say that i'm quite impressed by it. It has all features which i need - GPS navigation, a good 5MP camera(with flash), Windows Mobile operating system, Smart reader and so on - for more info about the features read the review at this site...
The battery life is not the best - 3 days without using the navigation, but as my last phone was Nokia N91, which had a very low battery life, i'm satisfied with it...
The quality of sound and pictures is ok, the display is good too... with the whole software, i have no problems - no bugs or something
the only annoying thing to me is the stylus pen - i cannot realise how come Samsung decided to make such a mobile phone with all the features, which it has, and couldn't find a place in the phone for the stylus pen?!?? Of course i gotta say, that the display has a really high resolution and even without a pen u can work good with the phone... But i still think that the stylus pen is the main disadvantage of this phone...
and in conclusion i can only say that if i could decide again to buy or not to buy the Omnia, i would make the same choice... This phone is really good!
hot phoness.. compare to N96 which one is better in features? any suggestion from user ;D 10s
FOR ALL "OMNIA" USERS:
Can any Omnia user explain about his/her phone, how it looks, how it works, SIMPLY WHAT A PHONE IT IS?? Because only the users can explain it better, even than some reviews!!
is it possible to personalize it's message alert tone? any program that allows you to?
please share any info about this. thanks
how does this phone and many other touchphones alike process calls (obviously you hold a phone to your ear so does this trigger the hangup button or the menu options when you are talking and have your ear placed on the phone or is there a lock device on the touch screen when u call?)

andy, 19 Nov 2008anyone know how to set the message toneHi Andy
All you need to do is :
Click Start, Go to settings, Then to Sound & Notifications. Click on the Notifications tab. Where you see Event, click the drop down and select : Messaging : New text message. Then you click the Alarm type. Then once selected just click ok.
Would anyone please advise how to switch to a larger QWERTY keyboard for text input? Thanks :)
Thanks for telling me that Samsung ddin't install GPS program onto the Optus release of the Samsung Omnia.
I've had this mobile now for two weeks and I must say the phone offers everything ( hense why they called it Omnia ) it's a nioce looking phone and it's small and slim.
However after two weeks use, I've decided the omnia isn't for me. I'm finding that you really need the stylis to use the touch screen to navigate, as it's not as sensitive like the iphone, also using your fingers is hard and it doesn't seem to always press the button your wanting to access on the screen. I find using a stylis skows your typing downand how quick i navigate around the mobile.
I think it's a pitty that mobile phone companies don't let you try before you buy lol.
Over all boys and girls, a great mobile but not for me and my patience, as I don't have any lol.
