Also I am thinking of buying a Nokia E71. At the moment I have a Omnia. Great phone, but not for me personally. I miss a build-in stylus, handwriting recognition, etc. I am a bit to much dependent on the touch screen. Using a telephone card to call abroad is not easy. Also I do not like the software (Windows mobile 6.1). It is not really handy to work with. Big advantage is that you can find tons of software applications.
So again there is NOTHING wrong with the Omnia, but personally I prefer an other type of phone., e.g. the Nokia E71. I think I will buy it next week.
this fone is not that great the day i got it the fone just froze!but i tink its easy to use

Hi Boys & Girls,
I know that Samsung Omnia has GPS built into it but do you have to buy a separate GPS program to install into it. I got my Omnia through Optus here in Australia and it seems they haven't installed/provided GPS voice assisted sotfware as I can't find no gps program at all in the settings.
Does anyone know where I can buy or download GPS software onto Omnia and it it be easy to install also. I've read people in previous messages talking about Germin or Garmin GPS programs, is it free, where can I download it and can i get Australian maps with it.
Any help would be so greatful people.
Thanks in Advance
does this come with you tube on it? o you have to download the program itself? could someone tell me thx!
Pls let me know if the phone - omnia - does not have below problems:
1) can user select some files together and send them via bluetooth? or it can only send one by one?
2) in sending SMS, can user select some contacts together and send them an SMS at once?
3) in messaging, can user creat their desire folders to catogorize their messages?
4)Is it equipped with answering machine like other models of SAMSUNG?
5) not equipped with a QWERTY keyboard, is it easy type SMS and send?
please e-mail me: firstname.lastname@example.org
Kindest Regards/ Mohsen Babaii

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Hi Karishma, i just want to know did you get feed back about the Nokia E71 compare to the samsung i900 omnnia? I'm in 2 minds about the Nokia E71, HTC TYTEN II and the samsung i900 omnia? Thanks

Rae, 14 Nov 2008Is there an asian model of the Samsung i900 Omnia? Like how the Samsung F480 has the Samsung F488.Its called the T omnia.
Just a question about the wifi settings.
I've setted the wifi up with my home wireless wifi and I've gone into the wifi settings and it recognised the wifi signal, now as my home wifi is secured I entered in my password and saved the settings. The wifi on the Omnia then says my wifi connection is available. I press connect it does it thing ( the little wifi signal on the top of the screen does a search signal swirl) but then it goes back to available.
My questions is, how do you know if it's connected to your wifi and using your wifi and not your 3g download signal, like your mobile phone 3g signal.
I really don't think its using my wifi signal when I am at home browsing the web as the little wifi signal does nothing when it's downloading a page. Can someone give some advise on what I might be doing wrong.
