I'm interested in buying Samsung i900 Omnia but is concerned if i can download ebooks or read ebooks in the ff formats - microsoft reader, mobipocket reader and ereader. Please to all of you who already have Omnia be kind enough to confirm if this is possible. I'm a helpless romantic and cannot absolutely do without my ebooks.
Its a good touch screen phone and its the first time ive seen the windows software used on a phone and it seems to be good and fast. this phones good for internet freaks that love going on msn on their phone i dnt know how u guys do dat but camera quality is poor. if u want a phone dats got really good video recording quality then stick with the nokia n series.
When you scroll through the widgets menu, does the phone "shake" a little? By this I mean you feel a little rumble inside the phone. Does happen to anyone else? Is this normal?

Hlungz, 07 Nov 2008Can this phone be used as a modem to go out to the internet from a PC/laptop?Yes it can be used for internet connection via usb cablbe
One other thing I forgot to mention.
I put my codes and passwords in my Omnis to set it up with my home wifi connection but it keeps telling me the wifi network is unavailable when I try to connect. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
I'm sure im doing it right.
Just a couple of things. I got the Samsung Omnia yesterday and I"m sorta regretting it but guess I'll have it some more time to really understand it. I also have the 3g iPhone so maybe I'm also comparing it to much to that when it comes to functionality and using it. There completely different devices.
Just some things, I"m not really finding it easy to use, I don't find it user friendly. I got it as it does everything a mobile should do, such as mms and txt forwarding ( hense why I left iPhone as I missed these features).
Got a few questions to ask, they are:
1) Where can I download a manual for the Omnia?
2) I can't find a GPS button to start GPS up on it to use it? (I'm with Optus in Australia & got it through them)
3) Does the music function have shuffle playlist so it will just play your songs randomly?
4) Can I set one of my songs up as a ringtone, not sure how or if it can be done?
Any help would be appreciated guys ;-)
Overall I like the Omnia it just takes a lot of time to get used to it, also I've always been a Nokia user mainly, and I moved over to the iphone and loved how user friendly it is, but over the lack of it's main mobile phone features it was missing and this is the 2nd time I've used Samsung, I had the D900i age's ago but didn't have it long enough to get used to it cause it annoyed me ;-)
I suggest to you all, if your considering getting an Omnia, go into the shop and see if they will let you have a play with one, this may help you decide.
