Hi Guys,
I'm really getting excited about having this mobile now. I've had it since Saturday and although my first post was slightly negative, I eat my words and take them back.
I'm really getting to know my way around this superb device now and am really enjoying it over the 3g iphone, don't get me wrong the iphone is a great device also but it's a totally different aimed market.
I decided to swap to the Omnia becausee it offers everything a mobile device should, such as mms and txt forwarding, in which I knew the iphone didn't have this but I have since realized that I missed those features so that's what made me to decide to leave iphone 3g ( so you know, I'm still keeping my iphone as a back up hehe)
The Samsung is really impressive and a great all rounder mobile device.
Guys it offers alot in it's package and it's very impressive. You just need to have patience when you first get it, after your used to it, it's a breeze to use.
Good luck guys and girls and enjoy it if you decide to get one.

the optical track pad is a mouse pad , meaning that you will have a cruiser apearing on the omnia screen & you can control the cruiser by using this optical track pad ... for more info . please check http://www.youtube.com/results?orig_query=i900&search_query=samsung+i900+omnia&orig_query_src=3

can omnia record video in this modes 640x480@30fps AND ... moreYes the omnia does recoed in those resolutions. I'm new to the omnia so i did what u suggested and it says it dies it in 640x480, 320x240 and 176x144.
I hope this helps you with your answer. Also correct me people if I"m wrong.

If you already has an omnia in your hands, just go to camera and check it out and tell me please, also tell me where you buy it, I mean the country, and the firmware version

I got it on a plan through Telechoice store at blacktown in sydney west. they deal through optus & the omnia I have is an optus release as it had optus logo on it when I turn the mobile on or off. Optus store blacktown said they'll have them in this Tuesday. Telechoice only just got them from optus last friday. There on their way to store's. U might want to call around to other optus stores and dealers. I have the iphone as well & although the omnia is taking sometime to gets used too, I must admit I love the omnia over the iphone specially that it offers everything a mobile should offer. You won't be disappointed just have patience when u first get it. I,m writing this post to you on my omnia lol . I got the 8gb version then bought a 8gb micro memory card to give me 16gb in total memory, that's all I need. Good luck and enjoy when u get yours.

it's uses the cellular network instead of satelite data
you can get more exact positions with this if there is cell network signal, if not it uses the satellite

I dunno, I mean, the TFT is 256K color (18Bits) and are people saying that windows mobile only support just 64K color (16Bits)
I think with and winmo update will be possible, winmo 7.0 will release half 2009...

Dear all, I just bought this ph and am very satisfied so far. It doesnt hang or slow at all. Memory show full even it is not. Its solve after hard reset. So now ok. My last WinMo device is O2 mini. Where can I download free softwares, especially ' games"? Its hard to find unlike symbian. pls share with me if u know one. thanks.

I'm interested in buying Samsung i900 Omnia but is concerned if i can download ebooks or read ebooks in the ff formats - microsoft reader, mobipocket reader and ereader. Please to all of you who already have Omnia be kind enough to confirm if this is possible. I'm a helpless romantic and cannot absolutely do without my ebooks.

Its a good touch screen phone and its the first time ive seen the windows software used on a phone and it seems to be good and fast. this phones good for internet freaks that love going on msn on their phone i dnt know how u guys do dat but camera quality is poor. if u want a phone dats got really good video recording quality then stick with the nokia n series.

When you scroll through the widgets menu, does the phone "shake" a little? By this I mean you feel a little rumble inside the phone. Does happen to anyone else? Is this normal?

Does anyone know how to activate Bluetooth to work on MS Active Sync for file transferring ?I can enable my bluetooth on my Dell D630, set pairing from Omni to laptop- no problem. But the Com Port connection via Active Sync seems not to work..

I'm looking for a CHINESE firmware (i900XKHJ3.MLI, but then a simplified Chinese one).
Does anyone know how I can obtain this file? Or maybe does someone have a Chinese version and is willing to copy the file to me.
