DoubleR, 07 Oct 2008been using omnia for a week now... i'm lovin it, everything works perfectly... the main proble... moreive heard you can by putting the mp3/ringtone in the root folder, but dont know much about it!, not much help i know. lol. search on some other forums.

Does anyon... moregoogle maps is a web based application, so yes it will use gprs or what ever connection it can find. ive heard route 66 mobile 8 is good, but havent tried it myself, there are some issues with tom tom running i believe.

I'm planning on buying the omnia. A local retailer has one but said that the camera won't work, so he didn't want to sell it as it might be a fault unit. Has anyone encountered the same problem and can it be solved by reflashing the phone?

Hi I am trying to find some GPS software that I can use without using the GPRS WAP. Does anyone have any ideas also I cannot get Google Maps to run without a WAP connection. Are there any settings that I have to change to allow only GPS to be used. Thanks I am worried because need the phone for business to travel around Europe but will cost a lot if uses GPRS WAP.

been using omnia for a week now... i'm lovin it, everything works perfectly... the main problem I have, is that I can't figure out how to set the ringtone for SMS... when I go to settings, sounds, messaging: new SMS there are only a few stupid sounds on it... please help, it has to be possible to set the ringtone for SMS... otherwise this cell is going straight back...

I am unable to go to a service center to flash my omnia. I would like to get the latest version HI1. If anyone knows an easy way to do it, plaese let us know. I dont want to brick my phone, but i need the rom update because mine sucks. THANKS.

At the very first beginning I can... moredont know about you txt message issue, but you can hard reset and choose with storage is to be erased, there are 2 ways, press and hold the call and end key then the power button, or the easiest, go to main menu settings system, hard reset.

I trans... morewhen you connect the phone via active sync, and select file managment, browse contents of my device, it should appear in a new window as, first storage is blank (thats the main phone storage where the rom and apps are stored) then bluetooth, then my storage, make sure you select this ( this is the 8/16gb) make sure you put music on there and not in my documents in the main phone memory!!!!
