i bought da omnia 2 days ago n so far it was a preedy amazing fne but i locked da kaypad...cnt remember da ulock code n i called a dealer ...he saidtry 0000 or 1234 but nun helps....wut to do now? :S

Be careful guys, this phone comes with only one language, language can't be changed.

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2008Does it have at least a half vga screen like the iphone? Does it have 16m colors like the iph... moreha ha ha would you like the link for iphone forum?
Windows only works at 65k colours so no need for any more, my old pda must be about 5 years old and ther is not a scratch on the screen so thats fine. Camera and music are very good. By the way there are and always will be better music players out there than ipods or iphones!

Currently I use a Nokia phone and find the personal folders that one can create for sms very usefull. My question is: Does the Samsung have a similar option? I do know that the Sony Ericson phones does not support this. Thanks

After Success of Omina Samsung decide to come with New Omnia with some new & upgrade features in next year like 16M color, more MP camera and some other important features.
The name is not annouced yet will soon they r working on it. so You will get Good phone compare to Iphone 3G because they(apple) also working on next Iphone project so lets see who gonna come with good one.

Initially I thought it's just another PDA Phone in the market. Now it seems Samsung managed to produced a quality one, but having owned many PDA Phones before (since the birth of 02 XDA 1) certainly provided me with some experiences with stability & reliability issues. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this I900 Omnia is not good but allowing more time to gauge its stability & reliability factors would be better. (Same goes to other brands on their new models) In paper, performance should be good - 624Mhz processor, in built 8/16GB internal memory, 5MP camera with xenon flash & GPS certainly are excellent specs. This would be in my list for my next PDA phone upgrade - and I'm still monitoring.
Another issue I noticed here - too many reviewers are actually not familiar with Windows Mobile's Operating System based on questions posed. If you are switching from a non-PDA phone to this, you are moving into a different category of "phone" & you'll need some time to play with it to really familiarize. There are way too many "things" a user would eventually need or get to know. Tons of softwares, settings to your taste, sync issues & I can't help but to say this important message - productivity enhancement on your livelihood. If you just want a pure music player, don't go for this. I've witnessed too many people trading-in their few months old PDA phones for a normal music phone just bcoz they found it difficult to use - not the PDA phone's problem but it's their own. If you've purchased a PDA phone, my suggestion is to thoroughly look thru the manual to properly understand its usefulness rather than to put up questions here. The reason? Usually in Windows Mobile OS, one thing leads to another therefore if you can't understand a few things, it becomes more complicated. It's easy though, once you've got the grip. So I hope those looking at converting to PDA phone to really see whether this type of phone is for you otherwise, don't waste your money.

The omnia only displays i think 65... moreHi omnia dude... please kindly ignore this annymonus..i have read from the previous comment, he is making others regard him as a kid..i guess a spoilt brat too...hahaha...always telling iphone this and that where alot of facts and evidence is stated for him..guess he just dont understand since he is so ignorant..i have saw a few post where other iphone user find him a disgrace which is very true..but what to do, hes just a spoilt kid..think he just own one iphone and is trying to convince himself he had bought the right stuff...kids..they are always like this..so naive and ignorant....

Hey all,
i got this omnia a aweek ago...And after using for a week, i must say its damn awesome phone..I need some help regarding settings.Will appreciate you for the help:
1) Is there any way to ungroup all the SMSes we get?? I mean if i want to delete selected messages from a person , how do i do it..do i need to delete whole bunch?
2) Can we record calls? i couldnt find that option.
3)When i open task bar option, i find many programs running..so how do i close each programs that i run apart fm end task option...
4)How do i create playlist? I created in winamp, but my cell dosnt perform that list..

as for the email, mine is fine and its not taking too long for me to push the mail into my omnia...about 1minute plus..

First is, take some time to learn about windows mobile pda, how it works, what to do. If I read your comments am sure you can not figure it out by yourself and will need some external help.
Second is, just buy you an easy normal phone, windows mobile is powerful, but need some knowledge how to operate, clear that this is failing for the moment.
So study and take your time to learn, or use a normal phone as example F480

QUESTION FOR the BFG
Okay i don't know if it is my computer but my active scan won't work. when i downloaded something pop up ( i don't remember what it said),i just don't get how i am suppose to use it. Also i thought this phone had 16 gig of memory but i can only have 8 songs. is there any way i can change that so i can upload my 4 gig of music. also the music on there when i go to play it in the touch player sometimes it says file is corrupted or cannot play but then if i click the song over and over again sometimes i can play it. how do i fix this problem so it doesn't say it at all. where do i get the new firmware and how do I add it(everyone says use active scan but I don't know where to put the file after i click explore. I want to know how to games and new skins. also my wi-fi won't connect. my wireless connection says its available but when it connects it all the sudden try to connect to my neighbor connection.
