sorry guys im no pyromaniac im only reporting what i was told in the shop on here, just trying to help a few people out if you would have read from earlyer posts i did say i didnt see a real phone for myself, im going to have a look tomorrow as i didnt have time today to due having to start work, if its real (as im still not sure)i will take a pic of it in the shop with the Carphonewarehouse logo in the shop in it so u can see that im not lieing to you about what the guy told me, altho the guy from the shop maybe a knob and not know him self, dont shot the messenger guys, im only trying to inform people
how is this performance-wise? Is this fast? or laggy? thats the second most important thing I look for in a phone, first being its looks, which this obviously has:)
i have today spoken to orange the have it in stock and could be delivered by monday 1 pm also check e2save as they have them in.
Where was this phone hiding? I was looking for a phone like this for months. iphone 3g, 5800, w960, n95 8gb, n96, xperia, samsung i8510. all of them lacked what i needed. see, if i bought n96 no touchscreen, if i bought xperia no tv out, if i bought iphone no video record, if i bought w960 no video editor. they all lack. but the OMNIA the true king got it all. cheers for the lost but found king. man its expensive but if i got what i expect its worth every penny. I am buying this phone!!!!!
On Windows Mobile is there an update which will
allow you to place an ok or end command within
all pop up menus on the bottom right of the screen.
The omnia has no ok or end button.
That cross at the top is not finger friendly.
Anonymous, 15 Aug 2008Go in to your local CPW and they will have it on O2There web says INNOV8 and touch diamond but not Omnia so I don't think for a second they will have it. If you call them they also say its not around for some time yet

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Quite agree with you I think the guy in Ipswich is a pyromaniac. With no info from any source reliably available, and with earlier models from Samsung released but never hit the stores one now has to wonder if the touch diamond pro is THE only way forward at least this side of Christmas. It looks increasing like Omnia is not weeks but months away.
Yes will do, i also read somewhere that vodafone will be doing it which is exactly what i need! Mention to those boys that you may be going to iphone and they will throw you a serious deal! !
Yeah its strange. The only other thing i can think of is that samsung. Be keeping it on the low to the offical lunch date is because the sales may not count to its offically out. Which in a way dont make sense. Altho the less people knowing about it being out cant and wont think to go and buy it. Check in ur store tomorrow and check you might be surprised.
mmm ok, that sounds interesting then! It all seems a bit hush hush, i will bob into ours tommorrow too and see if its around!
Its all a bit strange though, the worst of it is that samsung uk - themselves - have no idea when its due, i will ask again tonight.
By the way i was refering to the guy in the shop and not yourself! sorry :-) lol
I did mention that i didnt see the handset it person i'll go back tomorrow to have a look in person. If i can i'll take a pic with it in the carphonewarehouse to prove that its there. Or maybe the bloke didnt know what he was on about. Which is always possible lol. I understand that its not on the website which is strange. Unless there not putting it on there in to the offical lunch date. But i did say to the bloke. The samsung i900 to which he replyed the omina i said yeah. Which he did say was in stock.
mmm nice idea thanks but that may mean i would have to pay good cash money for a handset, something i have never had to do! I think the big boys who charge for the calls should always foot that bill!

Does anyone know REALLY when this phone is going to be launched in the UK?
The date is not on any re-sellers website's, carphone whouse seem to be ignoring it, vodaphone don't have it on their site, nor do O2, t-mobile, virgin or orange? I can't understand why everyone over here seems to be ignoring it. Even Samsung don't know the release date for uk and this was an e-mail response from last week when i asked them, so they can't go from nt knowing to stocking it in carphone whouse in a week! not possible. If they guy in ipswich says he has one in the back i would check him for any dribbling! :-) or simply ask him if it may be a tocco, i think you may find him saying "o ye!"
From what I have heard, the i900 is not compatible with the 3G network of AT&T, USA. Is this true guys? Coz the AT&T network is HSDPA 2100 and the i900 USA version does not support that. Guys, I am crazy about this phone. But I cannot shift to another operator because my entire friends list and the people with whom I talk for more hours are in AT&T.
