Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Samsung Omnia is available at the Samsung store Robinsons Galleria. Price ranges from Php36,600.00 for the 8GB and Php44,400.00 for the 18GB. Sorry guys but they have no unit display.

They can pack phones with thousands more of useless features and they still could not outperform the iPhone. Operating the iPhone is simple and effortless. The omnia could not even beat the htc diamond's web browser, how much more the iPhone's. The omnia's display greatly suffers under direct sunlight, the iPhone does not. The iPhone's display is scratchproof glass, while the omnia's plastic that easily scratches. iPhone's touch ui is still much better than the omnia's. Iphone looks better than the omnia as well.

Lol i brought it in spain but with english language i can send you a flash rom of mi init sistem in english and u just have to flash it down to your rom its a 8gb i900 if you or some one find it in spanish please tell me add me on msn and ill send you it jesse_krieg@hotmail.com

To ORV just remind that italy for phone companyEs is an important country and a an important market in terms of phone sold and contracts. So before post comments like u did learn a bit more about markets.

theefman...don't get me wrong i was waiting for this phone to come out and i got it right away...i'm not an iphone fan but im sure it is way easier to use than the omnia. i am just disapointed that each day i have a new problem to deal with that's all. the problems range from losing hactic feedback with latest upgrade to ram memory problems. i haven't installed one new app since i the update and i was having memory problems the other day. the camera wouldn't open because of lack of memory...even after all tasks were ended (which is annoying that i have to do this all the time). i wasn't saying that my pics were being saved in ram but i wouldn't be surprised if they were if and when i used the camera....as i couldn't open camera. i love the concept of the phone but so far it has not lived up to expectations. good for u that u have no problems as of yet...ur one of the lucky few. believe me i wish i didn't have to come to this site all the time and try and pick up tips....

maxon, 12 Aug 2008The omnia is out in Uk on the 18th of this month. you can pre-order it at play.comlol they first had the date up for the 12 of thist month its now standing at 22 of aug dunno wer ugot the 18th from lol...

I have to admit. This phone is getting more and more like the iPhone by the second. Now they have released a white one too, just like Apple.
I guess we should't say Samsung copied Apple, because this phone is alot better than the iPhone. This is more like taking Apple's phone and improving on it.
But either way, this is a great phone. And beats the Apple iPhone. No doubt there. The only downfall is the price. Now still sitting at $750 USD.

Makes this ... moreThe reason that GSM Arena says the phone is available could be that there are more countries than the UK. Samsung Europe official lanced the Omnia in Italy (and not in the UK). Then it take a wile before it will be available in all countries, including the UK(?)
There are also marketing reasons we (I) don't understand, but are important to Samsung. Maybe it is even better that Samsung waits with the introduction in important countries. In this way they can remove some bugs in the device, optimise it, add programmes, etc.
I think that most people will wait till it will be released in their country. If they liked an iphone they would have bought it already.

Nice screen and cam but if U re Searching for DVB T/H tuner mobile ( next generation) Forget this Samsung product. Get new Eten, a smaller screen but a better communication capabilities.

Phones released long before Omnia still are not on the shelves. Could well be Omnia never happens either.

and is there any software that would allow flick scroll throughout the windows mobile interface? if there is, this would kill the HTC Diamond! and is samsung upgrading the RAM?, 128mb is okay, but if your a power user, then you might find yourself running out of rom!

GPS settings program port 7, hardware port 9 9600 baud rate and Garmin Xt will find it.

What's with gsmarena stating that, "Standing at 112 x 56.9 x 12.5 mm, Samsung i900 Omnia is on the hefty side." and "It looks sturdy and feels nice in hand, the hefty size aside."
I don't remember gsmarena saying that about the iPhone?
Anyway, this phone rocks, heftyness aside :)

Hey guys, i just got the phone a week ago, however i am having some problem using GPS. I have downloaded the entire map, however when i search for a place (for eg. a shopping mall which does reflect on the map) it shows no results found. Can any one help. i am based in Dubai
