i did test the Diamond,Iphone 3G and Omnia, in fact i use the omnia and the iphone now and have a hard time deciding witch will be my favorite,the Diamond for me was nice looking but so slow, i did'nt like it, the Omnia is very nice,elegant look ,fast, and very responsive , the touchscreen is perfect, i will use the omnia untill the iphone gets jailbreak so i can install more of my favorite program

I'm curious as to anyone who has actually roadtested these puppies. Between Omnia, Diamond and Iphone3g, which has the better user experience? I'm not referring to specs as Iphone obviously loses out. I'm referring to which one leaves a good first impression on the ease and intuitiveness of use. Perhaps anyone from Singapore or other place which roadshowed these could lend us a hand? :)

mark, 15 Jul 2008hello gord, did u try using the mouse to navigate, how does this work. what about the small to... moreWell, you can use it, but imagine a very small laptop touch pad - you are constantly rubbing it and you get thumb sore :] It's perhaps more accurate, but also much slower. Also you can use it as virtual 4-way pad, but the awkwardness using still present.
I have stylus, and there's no problem navigating phone with it, but I'm not a business man and have no pockets for it (as perhaps you've already know omnia hasn't got a slot for it). The pant's pockets are out of question as it's dangerous to carry sharp object near you precious belongings ;].
But still don't get me wrong - omnia is not a bad phone, it has great features that work really well :] But for me it's a disappointment as I was expecting pimped up f480.

I am from Singapore and I have played around with both Omnia and Touch Diamond in a roadshow here.
Omnia's touch response time sucks. Diamond is much better. Of course Diamond still lags behing the fluid iPhone.
Try all 3 and you will know.

Samsung has amazing high quality phones, always has and those saying they make copies (iPhone morons) get a life! iPhone never came close to Samsung, no 3g, no good camera, no good phone features not to mention it's a brick. You guys get scammed, it's just ncie pictures and graphics. The new iPhone is the same, 2 meg cameras ouuuuu samsung had 3.2 years back and now has an amazing 5 meg not to mention always had 3g for years and BLUETOOTH A2DP which again apple does not. Apple is just good at advertising and getting you un-savi users to buy their product. Iphone doesn't even have phone features that existed on Samsung phones 4 years back. It's really sad and it's gets 7.5 ratings, ya impressive compared to Samsungs 8.5 standard throughout most of their phones. i900 is a great piece of work, if I wanted an Ipod that rings I'm sure I could make one lol

Its pretty great, but it can never beat nokia's N95 or N96. As Nokia wil always launch the best phones in the end, when sony released the 8 mega pixel phone nokia will release one better and has greater potential. So in my opinion this phone is not so great

Thanka a lot Striker. I think i can wait till then.I initially thinking going for SonyEricson X1 but as this phone(i900) is about to be released, this wouldn't be bad choice at all.

I spoke to their retention team yesterday as I put in a request for a PAC Code last week as I was on the verge of getting a Touch Diamond from Voda. Changed my mind at the weekend when I did a bit more research and realised the Omnia would be better for me.
So knowing it wasn't out yet, I waited for the inevitable phone call from 02 retentions which came yesterday. The fella I spoke to sounded really clued up and when I mentioned the Omnia he said he wanted one himself. Without even looking it up he told me the release date was 11/8.
Also, I work for a large UK telecoms distributor and "Week 33" has been getting thrown around a lot.
Although I very much doubt we'll get the free Xbox360 as I've not heard a word about that until I saw it on here, looks like thats just for the Italians.
