This phone is killer and i cant wait it to get it on my hand...can anyone please tell me when is galaxy s2 going to be released in malaysia and the prize of it? (34gb)
there is some mistake in their website
click on the features tab it shows 8.49mm thickness but in specs tab its showing 11.5mm
i think it would be 8.49mm despite nfc cos weight is same 116gm in both the tabs, so if a chip increases the width, it must increase the weight also
so i think its 8.49mm only
KK, 26 May 2011BREAKING NEWS...
The Indian version thickness is 11.5 mm. Check at official website http://... moreI called up Samsung India to confirm and they clarified that the 11.5 mm thickness mentioned in the specs sheet at their website is the thickness at the chin/butt of the phone (the curve behind at the bottom of the phone). Check the side view of the phone. The rest of the phone is 8.5 mm.
KK, 26 May 2011BREAKING NEWS... The Indian version thickness is 11.5 mm. Check at official website http://... moreI saw this site but I think Samsung India is wrong because with this thickness (63 mm) and height (124 mm) this 4.3 inch screen can not fit. Compare with the ARC to ensure.
KK, 26 May 2011BREAKING NEWS... The Indian version thickness is 11.5 mm. Check at official website http://... moreThis is not good :(, but even though the thickness mentioned is 11.5mm the weight mentioned is still 116gms, how's that possible? I'm sure it's just a typo, there's no way samsung can afford to manufacture an entirely different outer body just to include NFC. I mean come on! 11.5mm means it's thicker than a basic Corby
The Indian version thickness is 11.5 mm. Check at official website http://www.samsung.com/in/galaxys2/
May be because of NFC. As per Arena 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm and as per India Samsung 124.74x 63 x 11.5 mm.
I guess Non-NFC option should be there to reduce thickness, which is its advantage considering its big size

April 12th, 25 May 2011Just saying " YES!!!!! read the news and India is getting the SGSII with NFC so from one... moreThanks, 4 your reply especially WALKER BROTHERS, I'm still laughing HTF did Bing Google find that? Cut & Paste this is a keeper. Loving the excellent analysis, see the 05/22/2011 'countryes', 'proccesing' & 'waist' instead of 'waste' yep your right. This is goinq 2 B the biggest launch / sale and samSUNg should make this 2011 figure from both China & India combined. I do trump your post with this post. I do know somebody who works 4 samSUNg & based on the comments made in the forum, many @ the delay in the release some have contacted SamSUNg more than once! If U believe that they were polite see 05/22/11 most were and a few were not. Some took it personally & were abusive. I can't produce details but the extreme cases meant appropriate measure were implemented. Sounds familiar, what we R experiancing here is nothing.
