The specs dont mention the features missing:
1. No FM Radio (receiver or transmitter)
2. No HDMI output port
3. It is AGPS. Looks like the original GPS receiver is done away with - which was not working properly.
4. No dedicated camera key
5. Xenon Flash would have been better, however Dual LED is still better than the original Galaxy S - which had none.
Great looking phone, and exciting features. Might just be my next phone, but just have to wait for it being compared to iPhone 5 first.
Anon, 14 Feb 2011Did you know that Apple copied not only the idea, but the name as well from an earlier phone? ... moreReally? Apple stole the name iPaq? If they were stealing, they would've thought of stealing something a bit more creative don't you think? And you're just gonna ignore the long line of Apple products that started with the prefix i, iMac, iPod, iBook. So choosing the name iPhone for them is a no brainer, coz it's what people had expected. Oh and don't forget that Apple was the first company to use the term PDA for Apple Newton, and everything after that started calling themselves PDA too, including the iPaq.
is the plasticy back remains the same? or have they changed that?
this is the same price as i-trash,
not sure about the look still doesn't look like you holding £500 mobile phone!!
I just hope they sort out the back, that was really felt so cheap with Galaxy I, if they haven't they are going to lose big time on this!
kamejoko, 14 Feb 2011Blink? Secondary Yes, 2 MPis that right?!? 2mb front camera?! forget the lg black then..
This phone is awsome except that samsung is unwilling to upgrade the phones OS in the future.
This phone seems to handle for the following 3 or 4 updates of android like 2.4, 2.5, 2.6 etc. however samsung will most probably release only one update.

Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen instead of TFT? Gorilla Glass display?
1 GB RAM instead of 512 MB?
Samsungs own Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor, Orion chipset?
You sir are a bad troll!
A Full Copy of LG Optimus 2x.
No creativity at all.
I thought Samsung would come with something new but it didnt.
For the First time Samsung disappointed.
I would still prefer LG Optimus 2x.
LG is rocking with its creativity.
Check these 2 phones LG Optimus 2x and LG Optimus 3D.
How many PPI does the display of the Samsung Galaxy S II have?
Does the new '4.3" Super Amoled Plus' display have more PPI than the '3.5" Apple iPhone Retina' display of 326 ppi?
We have to wait for battery perfomance review. if it is like original galaxy then i think it will be the wastage of money. Samsung should improve battery performance as nokia has improved it in their E series set like E 52, E-73 etc.
AnonD-1043, 14 Feb 2011Samsung and Google are really good at one thing... copying Apple in every small detail and the... moreDid you know that Apple copied not only the idea, but the name as well from an earlier phone?
One of the first touchscreen phones, LONG before the launch of the iPhone, was the "iPAQ" from HP. So I'd suggest anyone overly zealous in pointing out Apple's "ORIGINALITY" to get out of their boxes and give themselves a reality-check.
Does it have HDMI port?
Samsung specs do NOT list it
USB OTG is confirmed in Samsung official specs, if you missed it at their official site check again.
They do not list HDMI out, and in concert with the Mobileburn hands-on I am left wondering whether this phone will have it - as an earlier poster mentioned it would almost certainly have to be implemented via the micro USB connection if it were present.
currently in the market this phone giving the best battery & also xperia play to achieve the highest sale ever
What a badass phone! At a very slim package, they have 8 MP autofocus camera with LED flash, 1080p@30fps, dual core, 4.3" SuperAMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen, a USB OTG (much like Symbian^3 devices), with NFC support, 32 GB internal, & many more? This is one hell of a phone!
