[deleted post]hey shashikant.. both fones are really good.. but i personally feel tht the s2 is better.. the note is too huge for regular use... its massive..handling it cud be a bit of a problem. the camera of the note is slightly better than tht of s2.. nevertheless both fones are an excellent purchase..

i am from Bangladesh. Upgraded my s2 to ICS 4.0.3 last night, took the whole day to explore the phone with new firmware. Well, the major parts of the front-end remains the same. At the back end how ever there are some useful changes. Both video recording and video playback improved. The sound that comes out of the speaker has got one of the major improvements, the sound is now much crisper, louder and clear. Battery for me still almost the same, may be it got some tweaks, but to me it's not that noticeable yet, cause I would get 2 days straight out of mine before upgrading and after upgrading last night I disconnected the charger at 9 am today morning and it's almost 9:30 pm here in Dhaka and it still showing 76% of juice left on the battery and that too with almost heavy use cause I spent a lot of time with the phone today to explore the new firmware. So no battery issues for me. Only problem I am seeing which hasn't improved at all is the heating issue while using the EDGE network for browsing the internet or using Skype. It's not unbearable but thing's could have been better if it weren't there. But when I browse using WiFi everything is completely fine. There isn't a single automatic restarts or any kind of problem so far after the upgrade. Oh and I upgraded through Kies. So, anyone thinking of upgrading go ahead if kies is giving you the option to upgrade.

help, 18 Apr 2012i have a simple question i hope someone can reply why when my phone S2 when automatoc lock or ... moreI think u have installed any application for battery saving which automatically closes the processes when the phone is idle i.e. lock..the application might be juice defender or something else..
So whenever u want internet connection even the phone is lock or idle just disable the battery saving app..

Hope this will work..:)

Most often, its the local carriers that restrict these apps to function properly as they block them in their gateway.

chits, 19 Apr 2012i'm plannin to buy either galaxy SII/ sone xperia arc S....just gettin confused between the tw... moreBoth are good phones and both have flaws. S2 gets heated when running games, the SXS gets heated even more. Worse part on SXS, the display turns yellow if the heat is too much!

According to benchmarks, both have similar performance and I have found that to be true as I have used both phones. Mind it, SXS was released nearly ONE YEAR after S2.

S2 is light but the SXS looks better than S2 (not that S2 is bad looking tho). You can go for any phone, but the S2 gives more value for money.
